  1. A Pencil on Anti-Terrorism and the Death of the Chemistry Set · · Score: 1

Sounds just like high-school when I wouldn't bring a pen or pencil. I would always tell my Teachers that I didn't bring one because it could be used as a weapon, even though it is a tool for used for education, and presentation. This really makes me sad.

I'm not sure where you grew up or how old you were. I understand what you are talking about where a cop doesn't do anything to you unless you are REALLY doing something BAD. But I think in some places it still works that way. I grew up just southwest of Phoenix. I'm 21 years old and just recently moved. When I was 17 ( Not too long ago :P ) My buddy and I stole some road signs. A cop was there, turned his lights on and started driving towards us. So we tried to drive away. My truck was slow so I pulled over, and the cops basically gave us a lecture, told us why those road signs need to stay there, told us to not do drugs, and stay in school. I really think it depends on the cop, or the cops beat. If I was a cop in Laveen AZ, I'd probably act the same way as this cop did, little crime, no harm done, " Go home kid". But if I was a cop in say, South Phoenix, I might not be so soft.

I'm not worried. My Dad is an old fashioned hard working man. He is a conservative. But he is also understanding of others beliefs. He is the wisest man I know. He told me one day that the point of being free, is that the government doesn't control how you live. And so far they don't. I won't deny that it's possible. But it won't last. My Dad owns a gun, his dad owned a gun, my daughters god father owns several guns, and as soon as I move out of this apartment I will also own a gun. Most of the important men in my life own a gun, and some of the women. I was a boy scout, and got my rifle merit badge, as well as sharp shooting, black powder, and wilderness survival. I will teach my daughter how to use and respect a fire arm, as well as any other children I have. The second amendment of MY constitution protects me from the Government. From the Secret police, or Homeland security. As soon as people see the change happen, the people that own weapons will start their Militia's. Every able bodied man over the age of 16 that loves their freedom will join the cause. There are enough rednecks, enough gangsters, enough mobsters, and enough level headed law enforcement that would join the cause. Our Forefathers thought about this. It won't happen, because it would be a bad move on those who decide they want to run this country with an Iron Fist.

A friend of mine in high school, who really is "Ubar h4x0r 1337 g33k", had a very different very on nerds and geeks. I've adopted this thought, because I thought it really, makes sense.
Nerds, are very good/smart on few topics, but take those to extremes. Example: "Computer Nerd" would be really good with computers, including PC's, the computers they put in cars, computing in general. They would excel in this more than everyone around them, but that's all they excel in. They may have a few more talents, that they are just as good at, but with all this skill, everything else in there life loses attention, like sex, friends, family, love life.

Then you have geeks, very good at nearly everything they try, but not always as good as the nerd. But the geek won't let talents in one field, keep them from trying other things.
I like to think I'm a geek, I'm generally nerdy, but I also play guitar, sing in barbershop quartets, play Ultimate Frisbee. I'm married, and have a 7 month old little girl. And had lot's of sex in high school.

Nerds, those whose talents get in the way of other things (That they WANT to try. This is not to say those above average IQ's that just don't take interest in sex or love.) are the ones who miss out on sex as a teen.

I myself am LDS. Though I'm not really practicing, I have a pretty good idea of how Gods plan goes, and why it's important to attend church (At least from the LDS view).
It's ok to just be nice. Do good deeds, live a decent life with out looking to a God/Gods for the OK or to give you reason. We believe that to go to heaven, that's just it.
Although, if your goal is to live Gods life, to become a your own with spiritual children of your own. Than you need to follow the commands and attend sacrament. That's gods plan. Live a good life, get paradise. Live according to the plan, get Gods life.

The speed they sell you is always an "up to" Speed. I've had customers calling me about their Ups and Downs not being what they paid for, and unfortunatly I had to explain the geography behind it. I don't want to bash you, that's definatly not my intention. I was just reading about electric cars today. If electric vehicles are charged by 100% coal fired energy, electric vehicles would emit 150% more carbon dioxide, 250% more nitrogen oxides, and 2400% more sulfur oxides than a comparable internal combustion engine vehicle. http://www.physics.ohio-state.edu/~wilkins/writing /Samples/policy/voytishlong.html Raising the question for me. Would replacing suv's with electric vehicles solve the issue? I don't drive an suv, I don't drive at all really, I only have to walk 2 blocks to get to work. I think the solution COULD be electric cars and not suvs, but only if we can come up with cleaner ways to make the energy to charge these cars.
