  1. My issues with Windows 2000 on Crackers Tune In to Windows Media Player · · Score: -1, Offtopic
Recently, my install of Windows 2000 has become very slow. I am running the AMD Sempron 2800+ with 256MB of RAM. I have defragemented the HD, optimized the registry with RegScrubXP, uninstalled all windows components I do not need, and changed to the FAT file system that I understand has less over head. That includes all useless programs I do not use.

What else can I do? And ohh, I have SpyBot and Ad-AwareSE Personal installed. I have heared that over time, all windows installations just become to slow. Any advice would be welcome.

On a side note, I also run Vidalinux http://desktop.vidalinux.com/ which continues to work fine but I continue to have windows arround because none of my brokers will support Linux, and with Java, they claim it is too unstable.

For those ganging to mod me down, GM (of USA) continues to lose market share in the US while Japanese companies seem to be flourishing. In Canada, it is even worse for GM even after introducing 5 new models, more than any other company.

Another bit: For Canada, though being one of the so called G7, only the Russian built Antonov-124 http://dptscargo.homestead.com/antonov124.html could transport the enormous amounts of aid to the tsunami victims. The Canadians have nothing to rival this giant plane! We Americans are not any better because our even smaller cargo planes are more expensive to operate and require better and longer runways, and cannot self-handle! Airport workers gaped as they had never seen a plane as big with all the independence it has. I was also amazed.

I leased the new Toyota Sienna, and you know what, it's a pleasure to drive not to mention the quiet engine. When I look arround my house, almost everything I use daily is Asian made...from the cell phone to the rice cooker.

Another bit for you. Yes, Henry Ford invented the line assembly in the USA, but the Japanese came from behind and now have their Toyota as one of the best built vehicles on any continent. If you ever visted Australia, you see what I mean. In fact, Toyota dsplaced one of the big three in the US to become the 2nd biggest auto manufacturer and seller in the US

The same applies to Kodak. Kodak is now second pace in digital photography, a helm (photography) it held for decades.

A terrorist's message could be..."Did you hear about thet flood that made people's lives in country X very miserable..."? The hidden message to this would be that "next month will be a crucial one."

They could even send out bogus messages so that the Europeans and the CIA can "waste time" on them. Imagine: Despite the AIDS epidemic, the African population is still growing astronomically and is predicted to be one-fourth of the world's in 5 decades.

As an African myself, I think this has something to do with the temperature on one's body "down there", where the tool is left to dangle in the air. Men on that continent remain sexually active well into their 80's. It has been said that food on that continent is less contaminated with additives since most farmers are too poor to afford things like that.
