SL is a Linux release put together by Fermilab, CERN, and various other labs and universities around the world. Its primary purpose is to reduce duplicated effort of the labs, and to have a common install base for the various experimenters.
You probably have a better defense having the OEM licence than none at all, especially if you were running a single copy in a VM on the machine it was tied to.
The clause was likely intended to prevent someone from running a copy of windows in a VM on some super-powered server or something.
Yes, because stereotyping a whole website's pool of users is 100% accurate. Asshole, I happen to have a sense of humor, cleanse regularly, and hell I even go outside and do things with non-nerds!
In other words, the automated systems should NOT be automatically scanning news items and acting on them without human verification. Sure, set off as many alarms as you want, but DO NOT FUCKING TRANSACT based on data from the public internet!
What happens if someone gains control of such a website? They could post fake stories to crash target companies, meanwhile someone is waiting to buy stock at ridiculously low prices.
This is dangerous... much more so than this particular incident.

it would take a fan base dedicated to playing the game RIGHT
Sorry, but killing people just for shits doesn't satisfy this condition. Fix that, and EVE may just fit the description.
Not sure if you are agreeing with me or not. I'm saying, the website should define a font style, leaving the actual font choice up to the browser (and by extension, the user).
Windows' defrag program just isn't very good. See my reply to your parent about JkDefrag.
Also, you should use NTFS for windows anyways now, as ntfs-3g allows full read/write, and NTFS is the only way to get windows to have permissions approaching useful.
Seen one of them. Unrar a file, and you get some 'rar password generator' exe and an encrypted rar.
I ran strings on the exe, and found all sorts of interesting things relating to sessions, runonce, etc. Oh, also the password was listed, so I just bypassed all the fun.
For the record, when I submitted this I hadn't gone more than a few paragraphs into the articles, and hadn't realized it was for a Republican event. This wasn't submitted for any sort of bashing, more of an "oh my god people need to know about this" submission.
You really think they would send these themselves? Very likely they go through at least one proxy, either electronic or meatspace. The wrong person - maybe not wholly innocent however - would likely take the bullet. We need to be fair in our hatred.
I bet it will continue to flag random people at a slowly accelerating rate, thereby pushing more and more people to Vista. That's probably what they think it will push people to, but hey - let's not disillusion them!
I know you are being funny, but CERN uses Scientific Linux.
Same. I run it for the package manager and archives, and leave the hand-holding in the box.
My guess, Prevent the following:
1. Buy OEM Windows license for commodity HW (Cheap)
2. Transfer license to large-scale system*
3. Save (VLK's are expensive)
* - Domain Controllers, Clustering, etc. Things that PHBs assume VM's are only useful for.
This is not flamebait. Grow up moderaters, deal with differing opinions instead of stifling them.
Don't feed the trolls please. It wastes everyone's time involved, and only makes them more likely to do it.
Trolls hate being ignored.

Good way to bring US Election politics completely the fuck out to left field. Go away.

Too late. You should have checked that "Post Anonymously" mark if you care for... what remains of your tattered reputation.
No, USENET is NOT gone. Stop saying that.

I would suggest you disable the built-in defragger and start using JkDefrag.
Way more functionality, and it's GPL/LGPL.
You can copyright a compilation of facts, but you cannot copyright a fact itself.
Where can one find a 100baseT hub? Nobody seems to sell hubs anymore.
Actually, I could see a market for 3-port hubs at modern specs... or even a two-port with a third "RX only" port.

Yes, your proposal will solve the problem with no side effects.

Stop bringing the fucking election into everything! Just stop it!
Thanks for bringing the fucking Election into yet another discussion.
Stop it!
You're welcome!
