remember, before the storage increase all the hotmail users were used to deleting email to keep within a 2MB quota.
I wonder if they'll let themselves go, become spam hogs, then Microsoft will slash storage citing "malicious internet hackers pirating Linux, raising costs" and where will the hotmail users go?
I prefer my 80GB of email space (courtesy of Maxtor).
When I first set up our wireless, it was totally insecure. When we moved, I had to figure out how to secure it, which turned out to be quite easy. For anyone wondering how to, search google for "web key generator"
I just tried that... With my complex background picture, jpeg in mspaint=150kb, png in mspaint=1.6MB. Jped in irfanview with compression on low=190kb, png in irfanview with compression on high=1.4mb.
Gif got about 350Kb.
VIRTUAL MEMORY LOW... okay i gotta go my computer is choking on all these image formats:-P
my school had ONLY macs and that's it. But funny thing is, the server ran windows server 2003.
I never used my account except to download mp3s anyways.
Next year (new school) there'll be a better situation though:
my school has windows computers in the library and calssrooms, and redhat linux comps in the PC lab, and I've met the teacher who is a real linux geek, even though he admits to being a mac user.
Heck I'm a linux geek who admits to being a PC user!... i do have a linux boot floppy though.
I read elsewhere that was in competition with Jabber, which is gaining in the workplace. Although I cannot verify this as I am not a Jabber user, it seems plausible. If your workplace needs jabber, I would still suggest Gaim.
Actually I signed up for metawire (after I submitted this). I don't care if it's sponsored by Satan himself, it's free and has everything I expected from a professional paid host. And they will continue running OpenBSD, and according to their site, their host is hostdime.com, not microsoft. If "pine" ever gets replaced by "outlook", "irssi" by "mirc" and "links" by "ie", then I'll look elsewhere.
I used Lindows for 5 months on my laptop, as it came with it.
It worked fine (if a bit slow) and apt-get worked perfectly until I broke it installing kmldonkey but that was my fault.
When 4.5 came out I tryed it but couldn't get used to it and went back to my windows/mandrake duo.

Or use this wep key generator. It's almost foolproof.
you forgot the filesharing program. Although that could double as a media player.
imagine a beowulf cluster of hydra clusters.

go to Kafene.org, my website. Check out the meta tags ;-)
Maybe I'll be prosecuted.
I wonder how long until Lindsay Lohan gets one? She uses a tricked out "old version" currently.
now hopefully they can be shared over p2p as well. same concept, different deployment.

I don't like the iPod. I don't listen to much music and it's just an extra piece of equipment you've got to carry around. eBay, anyone?

Google up "Menuet OS" 32-bit assembly graphical OS with internet capabilities. Not sure about progs included, but it does have irc.
