Sounds like you could benefit from wiring closets in different sections of the dorm. Surely it would beat having little Linksys switches scattered around as repeaters.
Of course, if you have original XP media and a cd burner, you can create slipstream media that has the SATA drivers installed without needing a floppy drive.
Kjella, the problem with that logic is that China would be equally hurt by breaking off trade relations with the US as the US would be. We are China's largest export market, and that is growing by the day. If China decided to dump the dollar and/or break off trade relations, they wouldn't have a large market to send their wares to and their economy would come tumbling down as well.
Why do you think China is worried about the product safety issues that have come up recently? If they start loosing the American export market, they are going to be in serious trouble.
I had them for a while too. Mine kept singing old Nellie songs and sportin' band-aids on one side of the case. And the worst part was that it only worked in East St. Louis.
Credit Cards? Are you kidding? Unless I'm making a big ticket purchase, I am never asked to show an ID when using my credit card. My girlfriend even has "Ask For ID" written in the signature panel, and its rare that someone even checks.
Well...its not that hard to snag a copy of photoshop. With CS2, you could download the 30-day trial from Adobe and use an activation code generator to install the full version.
That's frickin' rude, man. Seriously, if I was doing business with you, especially where I was paying you, and you sent me some link to a new office suite because you sent me documents I couldn't read, I would cease to do business with your company.
Its one thing to stick to your principles, but to force someone to adopt a different office suite when there are other alternatives to.doc (like RTF, PDF, and HTML) or even official converters for MS Office provided by Sun is just uncalled for.
Depends on what you're doing...but a text searchable pdf encoder doesn't have to cost a lot. The Adobe one does, but that goes without saying. You can easily get CutePDF or some other PDF writer that uses Ghostscript to create text-searchable pdfs for little or no cost.
and also overturning the Second Amendment and banning most firearms.
I don't think this is very likely. There is a lot of political power tied up in Guns through the NRA and other pro-2nd Amendment groups. Even if it did pass, it would likely start a civil war because there are a lot of "you can pry my gun from my cold, dead hands" types in the US.
Odd number trek movies range from downright bad to halfway decent. The Even numbered trek movies tend to be the better ones, but as another poster said, X (Nemesis) really killed that theory. After First Contact, all the Trek movies tend to follow the writing trends of the TV shows and go into a downward spiral fairly quickly.
It is also a good gateway for new writers. In addition to fiction newsgroups, websites, and forums where would-be authors could get their work reviewed and critiqued, there are new types of media like Baen's Grantville Gazette, which is "professional fan-fiction" and self-publishing.
That's a non-argument. Very few "normal users" will be using RAID controllers in their machines, and those that do have RAID controllers will have no trouble learning how to slipstream. SATA cards may pose a problem, but unless the "normal user" has a whitebox machine, the drivers will be slipstreamed into the media that came with the computer.
it's actually priced about the same as a base model from many brands, list price to list price
Not really. Photoshop lists for about $699 USD. A base DSLR is at least a hundred or two hundred more than that brand new.
Really, Adobe Lightroom or Apple Aperture are more suitable for photo work, and those programs are cheaper.
That really depends on the photo work you're trying to do. Working with JPEGs? Aperture and Lightroom really aren't for you and you're better off with GIMP, Photoshop, or Elements. If you're working with RAW, then you want Aperture or Lightroom.
Yeah, but there is something for doing the cabling right the first time and not having to worry about it again.
Sounds like you could benefit from wiring closets in different sections of the dorm. Surely it would beat having little Linksys switches scattered around as repeaters.
You would be surprised at what you can find in the 2 for $10 bin at Walmart.
Do you REALLY see women spending a lot of time in those sections / stores?
Only if they are dragged their by their boyfriends/brothers/male friends.
Well...that depends.
Does your Mumm own a copy of each song on that CD you cut for her? If so, that cd you gave her as a gift is fair use.

Except the Scottish are also known for their love of the deep fryer.

One of the plants at the company I work for makes very good use of Tablet PCs amongst the production floor supervisors.

But they don't have more money or patents than IBM...

2003 called. They want their impending Apocalypse back.
Because a wooden pallet with an RFID tag attached to the shrink wrap is much cheaper.

Blackbird, admins have the ability to "slipstream" updates and drivers into an install disk so you won't be asked to provide a floppy disk.
