i am not interested in fixing anything the big boys have caused thanks:) i wont be alive when it all kicks off and when i was a kid we didnt have big business bullying us with thier lies
Its always mans fault and this is the same old diatribe we have heard since political parties worked out that they may not be able to tax us on the air we breath but they can tax us on the air we breath out (c02) when they really should be grabbing back the unpaid taxes that the large corporations do not pay and charging them to clean up properly after themselves.

DoNotTrackMe in Chrome seems to have this covered as long as you sell your soul (plus every other detail about you) to GoogleNSA inc . ooo i could rant:)
none yet, i removed all implied rights of access and got an email back saying they agreed with my freeman rights and they would use other means to try to see if i watched live tv, but i do not watch live tv at all my wife waits an hr extra to watch soaps and its a lot better not having to be sat in front of tv at 7pm everyday.
xmbc media player is an awesome addition on a raspberry pi as it has support for catch up tv.
I have just cancelled my tv licence and gone to full catchup TV and i have found that i do not watch anythhing at all on any bbc channels at this current time, but if you look into bbc wordwide you will find that its a provate corporatation thats worth 1.2 billion that sells all our tv programs we have paid for around the world making the people rich off our backs,
Also the bbc has been prooven to be a very corrupt business that paid out 25 million in severence pay to old directors, supported Jimmy saville, gives a very biased view on all news and also gets money from the EU to push forth their agenda`s.
i will miss the sky at night but there are many shows aimed at the amatuer and professional astromoner on youtube and even a daily program from suspicious observer @ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTiL1q9YbrVam5nP2xzFTWQ which keeps you up to date on the stuff we need to know in less than 4 minutes a day
which list of perverts will we be on and will we be the first people in the work camps for looking at porn. i am all for a system where we can block content but we cannot start to allow the government to tell uswhat we can and cannot look at.
the story was leaked by a government minister that there was a lot of welsh people getting measles when in reality there was no epidemic at all. its all scare tactics by the newspapers and the government who in reality want you to be scared of breathing so that you do what they want you to do.
This is probably the worst thing the Government can do, they have enough problems running the country never mind the internet as well.
I have always said all parents should never leave children to use the internet with out having their own protection in place. I have always said that all porn should be banished to the xxx Tld therefore making it easy for parents to block.
Governments should keep out of this as everyone who reads Slashdot knows how to bypass the blocks by just using a proxy all this will do is make push more people onto using the darkweb or running VPN servers or other using freely available software like Tor and Privoxy, or if they just use filters on the DNS they would just use DNS resolvers from another country.
The ISP`s would have to implement this via expensive switches to make a difference which would slow the internet down for us in the uk more than it is now as well as adding the extra costs to our bills to cover the administration.
Sky has failed already implementing the blocks to the piratebay and anyway which person would use any other than a private tracker and protection to stop RIAA from seeing their ipaddress anyway.
Whats next the internet companies will find a way to make users pay them for access to porn and drive the whole thing underground where funnily enough the kids will still bypass it if they want to find it.
You cannot add a third of the internet to blocklists and keep them current as it is.
I honestly think everybody should steer clear of all the free to play games on offer the one i downloaded is using item mall and after playing atlantica online for the past 2 yrs it has cost me a lot more than say paying for a wow subscription.
each month for warrior pack and blessing licence it costs me £30.00 which is a lot more than a flat rate subscription to WOW for £9,99 a month.
in the longrun i would stick to Guild wars 2 its a one off cost at £29.99 with cheap expansions planned.
please try your best not to make these types of game the norm as very soon you will be paying £1.00 to open media player or notepad on windows.
Just do it yourself most of the hosting companies i have worked for in the UK just want you stuck with them on a monthly tariff, i can run 6 domains from my bethere.co.uk pro adsl service which gives me 21 meg down and 2 meg upload, i use 123-reg for registering any domains at £.2.99 for 2 yrs i have my own backup power plus the servers i run raise the temperature of my own house by about 1 degree meaning i dont have to feel guilty about the carbon tax as i offset against my own fuel usage.
honestly look at running redhat, webmin, virtualmin then forward all mail to google mail and you will not need AV or antispam services. along with that being able to work live on the server via shared drives or direct to screen saves you a lot of time.
also if you get stuck doing something just use your favourite serch engine, its a lot better than paying someone you dont know for services you can easily pick up yourself.
long live the british language its already withstood major changes from the 13th to 15th century, i wonder what william the first would think of the way we pronounce things now.
britans have had something to do with every major technological advance since the start of the industrial revolution. see the computer, neuclear bombs, neuclear power, submarines, aircraft carriers, steam engines and manufacturing, it only seems right that the british language is the best suited medium to put ideas forward and impliment them.
how many computer users would we have if all basic operating systems and programming languages were written in dutch or chinese.

it means less work getting a screensaver to work or a photocopier so they can film their butt.
it means we can get more technologically advanced desktop models and get rid of the single mouse macs.
woah bliss.
if your into gfx and video you shouldnt be using off the shelf sata drives, you need 10000 rpm plus raid, if a drive fails you just replace the drive and you do not lose data.
i have a firewire array of 9 250 gig hd`s (2.25 terra) just as a fileserver for my video storage.
if i wanted to do it properly i would use a single 10000 rpm 8 meg cache as the data drive to edit and make the dvd data on and transfer it to the raid array
we could of had this technology years ago if the hard drive manufacturers wanted to release it, i have been using hard drives now since day one (probably 20 meg on amiga was first) and i have always had to pay through the nose for the latest technology that comes out.
if everyone waited a few months the retailers would have to bring this stuff into the maket at less overblown prices.
who here hates to lose 50% of the money to unscrupulous manufacturers that know theres always some muppets out there willing to pay top whack for new tech.
why not learn to compress data so that the space we have is better used ?
microsoft and games suppliers will only make it so that it takes longer than a spectrum tape drive to install anyway.

the moral of the story is if you believe the bbc which is run by ATOS and pay for it you deserve what you get
