    The cell phone companies have a huge untapped market for customers that's completely inaccessible because of the massively high price of data plans.

    Once a provider starts offering a plan that either gives me a reasonable amount of data bundled in with my calling plan, or allows me to trade my talking minutes for the equivalent amount of data (I'd imagine that their costs would work out to be the same, given that everything's digital and is most likely routed alongside IP traffic Sprint. $15 a month unlimited data.

    An invention that fails is not an invention, it is an idea. For example, many people from around the world "invented" electric light before Edison, but Edison is credited with it because he made it work.     The fact that Bush has often misled the american people does not prove that Michael Moore is telling the truth. The difference between Bush and Moore, is that Bush maintains he is telling the truth, even when the facts suggest otherwise. Moore claims only to give an opinion, and is frequently on record as saying his movies are 'op-ed pieces'.

    Of course she could have, this is America. You can sue McDonald's for making you a fat, lazy dumbass! You can sue for cutting your hand on shards of glass from the window you shattered while breaking into someone's house. You can press charges if your idiotic kid falls out of a tree in your neighbor's yard or drowns in their pool while trespassing. Smell that? That's stupidity, it replaced freedom a long time ago in this country.

    And, of course, you can sue the dry cleaner for $54 million if they lose your pants.

    So... public libraries are illegal because anyone can check out a book and photocopy the contents of copy righted material? What about the music CDs of movies that you can access there? It's the same principle, in my opinion. Not sure about the US, but in the UK I believe it is still the case that the library pays the publisher/author a royalty when a book is borrowed. It's called a public lending right.

    used to select tools for my team. For UNIX, I selected Purify and for Windows, BoundsChecker. After a few days with BoundsSlacker, **all** and I mean every one of my team was asking for Purify for Windows licenses. 17 licenses later and our code crashes have dropped byat least 90%. I have had my team use Purify too, with great success. A few years ago I also tried out Insure++ from Parasoft, which seemed to be of similar, if not slightly better, quality.

    Last I checked, eating a poppy seed beagle is still legal in most places. However, in some, less enlightened cultures, eating a beagle is frowned upon. Assuming you meant bagel - when you submit to a drugs test, they ask you about your poppy seed eating habits so they don't come up with a false positive.

    Yeah, that's pretty much what I told her. Also what I believe, and how I live, and how I succeed in the world.

    Find good people, engage in win-win relationships with them, do good acts in the world, stay away from bullies if you can, but if anyone tries to belittle you or break you down or trap you in an exploitative system, you fuck them up permanently. So when she unfairly screws over a boyfriend, will you smash her teeth in too ? It's all they understand you know.

    And assuming you'd rather not pay for Sprint/ATT/Verizon/etc.'s high rates for Internet service and just want to use Wifi, there's an app for the DS called DSOrganize that does internet radio as well. I wouldn't call $10 a month for my unlimited Sprint data plan a "high rate". Even now, I think you can pick it up for $15 a month.

    I need a calculator that can do hex, and shifts, and bitwise operations. I mean I love my TI LCD Programmer, but I really miss the shift operations... I had the opportunity to buy one of these when they came out in the UK for, IIRC, fifty UK Pounds. Stupidly, I never did - however, a couple of years ago I found one on ebay in mint condition for about $200. Still works like a charm and appeals to my assembly programming mindset.

    You're kidding me, right? I have a Motorola Razr V3i from Sprint. I get SMS spam from Sprint just about every other day (it's gotten worse in the past 3 months or so). You do know you can opt out of Sprint SMS Spam, right ? Every message they send has an unsubscribe option.

    Any possibility that the conventional wisdom of calorie burning is just "wrong"? I'm a 6' tall adult male, and I eat about 1000 calories a day, and I'm 170 lbs - slim but not skinny. I eat one meal a day, usually a pasta dish or a burger. I've always eaten ridiculously small amounts - in fact when I was younger the doctors were worried about me, but as I got older I filled out. -Thomas At that level of calorie intake, you may find that your body has entered "survival mode". You might find that increasing your daily calories and eating 3 (or even 5) smallish meals a day will speed your metabolism up with no resultant increase in weight.

    Considering that it is common to hear a certain popular news broadcaster telling a guest to "shut up", Wikia can't be much worse. I doubt a "news broadcaster" has told a guest to shut up. Perhaps one of the op-ed presenters (O'Reilly, Hannity or Matthews etc.)would stray down that path, but they can't be described as "news broadcasters" for most definitions of news.

    Other than taxation, how is this any different from the government endorsed lottery or allowed casinos in Atlantic City and Vegas? One's legal and one, errr..... isn't. And to add to the hypocrisy, some state lotteries can be played on-line.

Because of the Act, the company believes that if it sells a product, then later adds a feature to that product, it can be held liable for improper accounting if it recognizes revenue from the product at the time of sale, given that it hasn't finished delivering the product at that point." I do a lot of work with SOX (although mostly on the IT side), and while I have some question as to whether they would be dinged for this practice, there is a simple solution. Don't recognize the revenue at the time of sale. A little more complicated for the pencil pushers, but better PR for the organization.

    Can't blame George Bush for the inteligence given him by the Clinton Administration. Please review history. We knew about the WMD when Clinton was in office. So the lies Colin Powell told in his infamous UN speech were at the Clinton adminstration's behest ?

    Did you forget that they tossed out the inspectors? Just because we haven't found them by no means is proof they never existed. How long does it take when an attack is looming to move that stuff. If they had them, why the hell didn't they use them ? A foreign invader is attacking the country. What better time to use WMD ?
