    I still have issues with libreoffice and msoffice fucking up pagination and the like, or msoffice printing out libreoffice documents with random bullshit all over the place, but overall it's definitely better than OpenOffice ever was. Plus LibreOffice makes it stupidly easy to just export a PDF if all I need to give someone is read-access.

    This. A lot of people working intellectual tasks at a high level will do the same thing, they may appear completely unproductive for long periods and then sit down and slam out a massive amount of material in a single draft, leapfrogging anyone that seemed to be more "productive" writing and rewriting garbage day in and day out.

    Airsoft guns would probably work well. A stream of bbs with enough accuracy and force to bring down most low flying (200ft or less) drones but which are more or less harmless to anything they land on otherwise.

    It's not zero access to customer services, it's zero customer services period. I recently found out first hand google just plain does not have any form end-user accessible customer service. Even Valve, as astoundingly awful as their customer service is, will still eventually put you in touch with a human being that can look at the situation and fix fuckups.

    Google doesn't have that, at all. They have their one or two automated tools and that's it.

    If there's something we've established in the last year it's that a huge number of people writing tech/gaming/whatever blogs are doing it because they're too incompetent to work anywhere else and think they found someplace to push their agenda, not because they have any meaningful understanding of or appreciation for the field.

    Except people don't act on perfect information. America has a practically religious worship of toil and a pro-suffering culture. Despite how solidly proven the benefits of a 40 hour workweek are we've continued to steadily climb to nearly double that purely out of an incredibly shortsighted fetish for forcing workers to toil until they drop, even though overall it harms profit and productivity.
