The problem is that they mistakenly assumed that not purchasing at all would have a different effect than pirating the game, it doesn't. If AC2 came out and was not pirated at all but a similar number of people didn't buy it ubisoft would STILL BLAME PIRACY.
Complaints of piracy are utterly disconnected from reality, at this point it's just a boogeyman used by companies to justify the need for taking more rights away from the consumer. They could virtually stamp out piracy of their games and they would likely still find an excuse to claim that it isn't their fault they didn't make more money.
No, they really don't. Not submitting something to turnitin is virtually always an automatic failing grade and often includes extra sanctions outside of that.
Oh how cute, you still haven't figured out that no realistic option of noncompliance is effectively the same as not having ANY option of noncompliance.
Finally someone else understands my pain, I thought I was the only guy gullible enough to try and play that.
I have actually had an easier time mapping mechwarrior to keyboard and mouse controls than I did Substance. Trying to bind dual joysticks AND 8 PRESSURE SENSITIVE buttons to a keyboard just isn't possible, even if you manage to get one of the expensive keyboards that CAN press that many keys at once you'll still run out of fingers.
Which can be more accurately summed up as "Obey the people who claim to be superior to you, don't try to improve your situation, don't disagree with anyone who has more money/power than you, and maybe after you die you'll come back as one of them".
In what country do you live where minors are not by and large charged as adults, especially for things which are only illegal because they are minors?
The problem with your argument is that as fast as the rights of minors are becoming increasingly nonexistant, the protection of "juvenile" offenses has gone away far faster.
It's becoming suprising now to find a minor NOT tried as an adult rather than the other way around.
No, just that the possibility is not as unlikely as the GGP makes it sound due to this being a school we're talking about. Much like it's a lot less unlikely for a zoologist working in the field to be mauled by a wild animal than a regular person.
You must be new here. School's are FAMOUS for long strings of abysmally unintelligent decisions. Hell, the most recent SCotUS case involved a stripsearch conducted by multiple adults because one student with a bad disciplinary record got caught with advil in a folder that had been loaned to her by another student at least several days before.
I don't think flatpanel technology is going anywhere anytime soon. Why would anybody want to give up a technology where they've basically convinced the consumer to voluntarily spend more money on an inferior product AND pay a premium for inherently smaller screens?
Actually they showed his view a few times and it looked like (as the sibling AC posted) he could see outside the normal spectrum by just shifting his perception up and down, or shifting how something was rendered.
Despite what the league players would have you think Valve's games are not generally played with (or designed for) less than 16-24 people, and 32 is not remotely uncommon. What your suggesting effectively doubles the load on the server AND each affected player.
Plus most cheaters would not readily be detectable this way. Aimbots tend to be activated by the player right before firing after the player manually gets pretty close to the target on their own, and wallhacks are generally used as an advantage in information rather than open combat.
This is pretty much what I came here to post. Even if the Swiss Govt DOES pull this off the citizens can just deal with it themselves if enough of them care.
My gaming setup used to be two computers (pentium4 and a q9450) both hooked up to dual-input FW9012 and P260 trinitron CRTs. That was two computers both running at 3500x1200 and putting a combined weight of about 300lbs on my desk.
We almost didn't need to heat the apartment in winter.
Yeah. Take the Crematoria escape scene for example, in the director's cut when he's surrounded he gets a time-stopping psychic meeting with a Furyan girl who puts a magic glowing palmprint on his chest that lets him unleash a magic burst of energy in all directions to blow everybody up.
The story may have been more complete and coherent in the director's cut version, but it came at the cost of making Riddick a bald Goku.
There's an easy way to tell: Was riddick badass or magic. If he had dragonballZ magic powers then you saw the director's cut version, if he was just a vanilla badass with a mythic backstory then you saw the regular version.
Does your house have a septic tank?
If it is ecological wonderland, why do they have no sewage system, not even septic tanks?
I can't say much for the rest... but you do realise that when you fertilize a plant you basically shit on it, right?

You keep living in fallacy world.
So I suppose you're also opposed to turnitin as well?
No, just slashdot.

My concern as well, 70% humidity here in central florida is not uncommon and walking from that into a cold room can cause enough problems.

I played the game. I liked it, what I didn't like was throwing up several times because of the FoV changes and wonky field of view when crouched.

Riddick being a badass was fine. Riddick being a Magic badass fighting other magic badasses with magic magic magic....
No.
My bad. Perhaps we should replace CEO with Don and just stop pretending...
Yeah, I was going to say the word they're looking for is not "Consortium" but "Collusion".
"I think all the whining from AT&T is proof of how popular the Apple handhelds are while the other services struggle to sell apps and content."
So I suppose that means that the best of all worlds would be running Windows ME on a 90's era Dell in sub-saharan Africa...
