That's going to accomplish all of fuck all in the way of stopping any bullying. You want to stop a bully from picking on you then you beat the snot out of him enough times until he and all his cohorts leave you alone.
You want to stop him from being a bully you wait until he picks someone else and then you do it again and tell him to leave EVERYONE the hell alone or you'll be back.
Correction: With businesses like TurnItIn.com all the rage in academia the risk of being labelled a cheater at all approaches 100%.
Turnitin and its ilk are businesses first and foremost. As long as plagiarism rates remain high business is good, and since they control the reported amount of plagiarism and there is no possible defense against an accusation by their system there will always be a high rate of plagiarism.
Which would work great if the laser had to evolve in return but since all it takes is a ~5min firmware update and we've already achieved sentience I don't think changing wingbeat frequency will help much.
Like the sibling post says, many slashdotters ARE 4channers.
I never really said they were bad, I don't consider 4chan any more evil than I do a hurricane. If anything I think of Anonymous as a sort of physical collective superego and id for the internet with no mediating ego, they're more like a force of nature than anything else.
Except "Anonymous" is the bastard hybrid of a punch of bored 14 year old script kiddies, an unholy horde of angry-at-the-world genuinely decent at coding 20 somethings, and a frightning legion of bored in-it-for-the-lulz near or middle aged men.
If you can prove what you said was factual then it is an absolute defense against any slander or libel claim in the US, as I understand it that's not an absolute defense in other countries.
I'm still skeptical though. The original bioshock didnt even keep the same mouse sensitivity through level loads/changes, that's a pretty fundamental problem.
Metacritic alone is proof that "reviews" don't mean anything about the quality of a game, just look at Far Cry 2: The "professional" rating is near perfect and the aggregade of ~500+ user ratings is pretty much the opposite.
I think if that warming was a problem then living where it gets to be 95 degrees outside in the shade for 6 months out of the year would have had more of an effect by now. As it stands the biggest one is a desensitization to seeing grown men riding the bus to work in animal suits.
And all of this is why I usually just get a cheap digital watch from wal-mart that can survive being driven over a few times and periodically reset it to be about ~2-3 minutes ahead of the average of whatever I care about (professor's clock, usually).
I'm pretty sure there's a generally-worded fraud law or something somewhere on the books that would catch this since these guys are basically waiting until you buy one thing and then without knowledge or consent billing you for a second thing.
It's like going to a restaurant, ordering your meal, paying, and then finding out that on the back of one of the fold out flaps in the menu it says you'll also be charged a $150 service charge. You looked at one price, you agreed to one price, and while technically you were "informed" of the second charge in the "fine print" by all reasonable measures you were outright scammed.
Even this isn't always true though. Serious Sam FE/SE adjusted difficulty by playing with damage, hitpoints, pickups, and I think even the number of enemies that spawn but at the same time the difficulty is still "real" on most levels below the insanity ones.

I think this is the first time I've ever actually seen a legitimate claim of a device drawing less power than it can charge from ambient sources.

Then we'll use the laser to carve them a nice tiny little violin and turn it right back to mosquitos.

In other words everything would be great if everyone would just do the right thing all the time...
Our LEFT wing political part is a good 2x more right-wing than most other right-wing parties in the world is what happened.
That and gerrymandering combined with a lack of term limits and now no limits on corporate campaign contributions.
DAMMIT! AggregaTe! Now I sound like I'm talking about some kind of sports drink.
Or half-life, Doom, Quake, or...

Like a f#@%ing deflector dish, then we can solve all the world's problems by reversing the polarity once it's constructed.
Actually knowing 4chan they're just as likely to do something utterly productive as they are utterly pointless.
Animals shit in ~95% of their habitat...

Means they're below me on the food chain.

You mean the popup that I didn't know would instantly appear right where I was going to click anyway and possibly can't get rid of without clicking?
Only the Vichi isotope is conducive to interactions with germanium, the rest react violently.

You could always say that a germanium laser is great because it doesn't require electricity, it runs without any juice...
Stronger, faster, more efficient.
Downside is it has a tendency to encroach on polandium lasers...

I keep trying to imagine Dune like Lord of the Rings but I keep needing to interrupt myself to go to the bathroom...
