Which brings us to who is really feckless here, the people who are responsible for how things have turned out or the people who weren't (and still aren't) old enough to vote.
Other than star trek reruns, mythbusters, and whatever's on the food channel I don't even watch TV.
Most of my family is in israel, some of my family is what could be called "palestinian" except that they just took an israeli citizenship and consider themselves israeli citizens and lived with the same people they had for centuries, and my mother is a naturalized israeli citizen.
My opinions come from LIVING there, getting bombed at the west wall, and having to get pulled out of a market by the IDF because a lot of people became very unfriendly very quickly.
I keep up on the situation by hearing directly from friends and family how many HUNDRED rockets and mortars have been coming across the border. But yeah, you keep thinking that I'm just another dumb american that needs to learn the truth about Israel and how evil the jews are.
Now if only they could make one that's actually comfortable to hold for long periods of time. All the ones i've had the opportunity of tinkering with so far seemed to be trying very hard to put the controls exactly where your thumb wouldn't be while holding it in any remotely comfortable position.
I thought the whole point was that it was simpler and quicker to make than an LCD and was better for use in brightly lit areas but beat out elsewhere...
^^^ What CrimsonAvenger said. The quotes are from articles of the Hamas Charter (32 and 7 specifically) and it's the hamas charter which is making reference to the Protocols.
And yeah most of us around here know that it's just a poor copy of one of iirc Dante's work with some of the names swapped around. Call it the first photoshop.
Yeah I don't always agree with how my posts get modded either. Probably somebody else noticed that if they stopped using natural gas they'd have plenty left over to gas jews with and thought i was making some kind of insightful commentary rather than just not really giving a damn about a crass but nonetheless well-timed historical joke.
The current legitimately elected government of the Palestinian people have certain clues to their motives in their charter:
"Today it is Palestine, tomorrow it will be one country or another. The Zionist plan is limitless. After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on. Their plan is embodied in the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying." (article 32)
"The time will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!" (article 7)
The palestinians have made their motives towards the jews, all jews, absolutely clear ever since they got the hell out of dodge so that the muslim nations nearby (read: just about everything else over there) could push the jews into the sea.
You forgot to mention that most things touted as breakthroughs over the last year won't be on the market for quite some time, and wont be affordable for quite some time after that.
Just look at E-paper, from what I understand it's not nearly as expensive as an equivalently sized LCD display and yet it costs considerably more to get an ebook reader which is for all intents and purposes nothing more than a giant palm pilot.
I think we should make a system of rating computing power that's applicable to a CPU or GPU and is measured in Internet Penis Inches. Then you can settle graphics card debates by saying "This one is rated at 6.3Epeens and this one is 7.2Epeens" and be done with it.
Well, all things considered I'm pretty sure that it being prone to failure by means of exploding makes it undesirable regardless of it's status elsewise.
That's basically my point, the only difference between an activist judge and a normal one is whether or not the person speaking agreed with the decision.
And by that logic the right to vote should also be a LOT more restricted since the framers had never intended for EVERYONE to be able to vote and we've got a damn sight more proof of that being their intention than we do on what their intentions were for a lot of the rest of this.
The interpretation of existing things is well within the power of the courts, they don't lose it just because their decision happens to give more or less power to one side or the other.
Seconded. I've heard that alot but so far nobody has actually been able to provide anything that could really be considered creating a new law from scratch.

I think if they'd put this into practice I might have finally gotten to see Clippy take a lot of something high calibre to the face.
I don't know but somehow I just feel like these guys earn it more when they actually come up with some copypasta I haven't read before.

79.2K to fill an 80gig ipod? I thought they sued people for that much per song...

Ok it's in poor taste admittedly but speaking as a jew even I found that hilarious.

Except nowadays people think that's a bad thing because instead of checks and balances it's called "activist judges".
