Yup, that's what I always think. I also heard once that Google were especially interested in hiring female CS graduates. Why does gender matter here? Just because it's a rare breed doesn't mean that it's always superior, or that you need to go out there and grab all you can get. Pick people based on their own personal merits.
Although it's great that more women are getting back into CS, these kinds of articles make me itch. Geek girls shouldn't be hired or coerced into taking CS because of or in spite of their gender. They should be hired because they're good at what they do, and they should be encouraged to study if they have a sincere enthusiasm for the subject. If it turns out that the best students, or the best employees are male... so be it./female CS grad and web developer
Well all the people who have a fear of needles are now safe, but what about people like me, with the fear of 'injections'.
For me, the problem isn't the needle, the problem is the fact that someone is injecting something into me. I'm not sure why I have such a phobia of it, but I will usually lay down on the floor and scream my way out of it.
The jet powered thing, to me, sounds just as bad! They should develop a tablet form of every vaccination:P

I actually prefer the Playstation over all other gaming platforms, the games have an excellent plot most of the time... Nintendo lack but I have no problems, but the gamers don't want graphics or plot stance?
They're taking over us I tell you. It/was/ a good site and I don't understand why they have to go and investigate every single little thing, was it a tip-off from itunes? It's all about profit. People are stupid.
I don't mean to be a troll or anything. I just think it's unrealistic to expect nobody will ever send you spam if you release information to the public, and it doesn't mean I give consent to people sending me junkmail either but it's something we all have to live with. *shrug*
Bots don't usually succeed if you put anti-spam modification in email addresses like the kachiiNO@SPAMgmail.com or whatever I have right now on/. because bots are electronic and they just grab what's there without checking or modifying anything.;)
I agreed to deal with it. I get loads of spam in my email. But with the gmail filter, it doesn't really seem to bother me at all, as of yet, none of it has ever reached my inbox. Plus I can always set my aim/msn to privacy and I/never/ use my hotmail email, it's probably even disabled by now for infrequent use...
What's to be expected when you randomly give out contact information online? It's a public domain, anyone who chooses to can contact you wether or not it's against the law. If you don't want to deal with it, don't put it out in the first place.
Just because we found ice there doesn't mean it's going to be habitable by human lifeforms;) I mean, do/you/ think we can live off frozen water by the martian equator?
Maybe we could develop another form of intelligent life that would be able to handle Martian environments. Or shove some random small animal there that is not necessarily intelligent but could handle it and see what it evolves into after a few billion years.
I just don't think we'll be moving there too soon:P
Exactly. It's not like we're going to/promote/ such sales. It's fine as is. The more we try to shield kids, the more it's going to fascinate them. It's as though we'd be giving them an idea they wouldn't have thought of if we didn't mention it in the first place.
