I've noticed that if I switch my phone to Analog only mode it will extend the battery life GREATLY in those analogy only areas... mostly because it doesn't keep trying to find a digital tower to connect to.
They would probably make a lot more money if they stopped putting your money that is going towards water and electricity into the coffee.... I also imagine the coffee wouldn't be that great either
It works well if there are a lot of fun distractions and "sidequests" to do. Just look at GTA: San Andreas... "I'm taking my towtruck to the do...AIRPLANES! LETS GO FLY AIRPLANES!"
On a weird side related note, after posting that I noticed Firestarter was flashing red and 16 attempts on various ports from an IP that resolves to slashdot.org were recorded... What gives for that?

I'm sure they do, but first you get a free (year?) of it.

The only problem with your logic is that you are using physical copies... after they've been taken they are no longer in your possession.

I run the Linux client, perhaps you could deliver this streaming video.... so I can more easily turn it off.
