Funny thing about that. I posted factual stories about the death threats electoral candidates had received from Trump supporters during the primary, posted factual stories about death threats mosques are receiving from Trump supporters after the election, posted factual stories about the many failings Trump has (businesses, sexual assaults, outright lies), posted factual stories about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and yet oddly, that is exactly what people like you focused on. Not the story itself, but the source.

Because those stories came from legitimate news sources they were denounced because they came from the "mainstream media". Death threats to electors.

You do know Republicans were trying to bribe electors during the primary to not vote for Trump, don't you? That's right. Those god-fearing, family values Republicans were offering cash, or other, bribes to state electors to not vote for Trump but someone like Mark Rubio. But that's okay, right?

Offering the pay fines for electors who break the law.

The U.S. Supreme Court has never ruled on whether levying the fines in the first place is constitutional since nowhere in the Constitution does it say electors must vote for a person or face a penalty for not doing so.

Also, several electors have said they may not vote for Trump, including this one from Texas who interprets (a la the late Justice Scalia) the Constitutional electoral college requirement to mean he has the right to "take a look at all the facts, figure it out and make the right call."

Also, as you'll also note, the elector said since his district would most likely vote for Clinton, he could use that as another reason not to vote for Trump since he was doing the bidding of the electors.

Jill Stein taking donations to force a recount where even she says that there was no fraudulent or illegal activity.

So it's like the supposed "massive" voter fraud which Republicans claim is going on but have provided zero evidence for yet still pass laws to prevent something which doesn't exist?

Further, there is evidence (see the previous /. story) to suggest something odd may be going on in those three big states where electronic voting was used. Wouldn't it be nice to be sure that a vote cast for Trump was recorded for Trump and not Hillary, and vice versa? If you're so sure nothing illegal is going on then why not go ahead and do a recount? It's not your money being used since Stein is the one who has to pay for it.

What makes the fake story from Fox so funny is twofold:

    B) the folks from Fox were very rarely seen outside of the hotel the journalists were staying at.

  16. Everything else in the summary is conjecture.

Exactly, like this gem from the New Yorker article:

Islam is not a religion, Flynn and Ledeen wrote, but a political ideology bent on destroying Judeo-Christian civilization. Flynn began saying that he had been fired because President Obama disagreed with his views on terrorism and wanted to hide the growth of ISIS. I haven't found anyone yet who heard him say this while he was still in the military. In the past, I've asked Flynn directly about this claim; he has told me that he doesn't have any proof -- it's just something he feels was true.

    Wow! Much insight. So truthful.

    Or this as well:

He reposts the vitriol of anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim commentators. Just like in PA where the claim of "massive" voter fraud has been tossed about for years despite not a single case being shown as proof. Yet apparently not providing proof was sufficient enough for the legislature to pass a law to prevent this "massive" voter fraud.

If no proof of "massive" voter fraud was sufficient to get the gears rolling then there's no reason not to recount the ballots despite the limited amount of evidence presented. You can't have it both ways.

Also, while Michigan may use paper ballots, it still uses a computer to record the votes. Straight from the Michigan Secretary of State web site:

All voters in Michigan use optical scan ballots. Optical scan voting requires voters to either darken an oval or connect the head and tail of an arrow next to each of their choices on their ballot. Completed ballots are fed into a tabulator, which scans and records the votes. (italics mine)

That right there is the rub. How does one know the electronic machine is correctly recording the votes? Just because a vote is registered does not mean it was registered correctly. Since Michigan has paper ballots, hand count them. It's the easiest way to see if there are any irregularities.

  19. Let's cut the corporate tax down as close to zero as possible.

Which means the individual tax rate will have to go up accordingly. Granted, people like Trump won't pay an increase in taxes which means the middle class will once again get shafted.

If you think this isn't the case, look to Europe. They have low business tax rates but high personal tax rates. The tax revenue lost from low corporate tax rates has to be made up somehow and the only two ways to do that are to raise rates on individuals or through taxes at the local level.

If you have followed U.S. politics in the last decade you will have noticed a concerted effort by Republicans to make it more difficult for people to vote. The excuse is there's rampant voter fraud going on yet with the exception of a few isolated cases, they have never shown this "rampant" fraud.

False. They implied she had been poisoned using her book as the reference. Here are her comments regarding that issue:

Kelly also wrote that on the day of the debate, what The Times describes as an "overzealous, suspiciously enthusiastic driver" drove her to the event and insisted on making her coffee. She writes that she drank it and then was violently ill within 15 minutes, according to The Times. "Ms. Kelly never says outright that someone tried to poison her," The Times reported. (A stomach bug was going around, she notes.) But the episode spooked her enough that she shared it later with Roger Ailes and a lawyer friend of his. Foul play? Again: She reports. You decide."

So in her own book Kelly specifically recounts the events then says she was spooked enough by the "coincidence" that she spoke to Ailes (someone who had been sexually harassing her for some time) and a lawyer. As the ending says, she reported on what happened, you are supposed to decide what it means.

Taking the events as she described them, it is quite plausible someone on the Trump side may have wanted to poison her, or at the very least make her ill, because she didn't cowtow to Trump. Remember, Trump's camp are the same ones who claimed an "assassination" attempt at his one rally without a shred of evidence and no confirmation from the Secret Service.

What makes the Trump claim so false was if there had been an assassination attempt, do you think the Secret Service would have allowed him to return to the stage? Of course not, but the Trump camp put out the fake story anyway.

But as usual, facts don't matter to Trump and his supporters. Not his dealings with an Iranian bank which funnels money to terrorists, not his dealings with Cuba during the embargo, not his assaults on women, not his use of illegal immigrants on his construction projects, not his use of Chinese rather than American steel, not his name brand clothes being made in Mexico or China. Nope, none of that matters because unlike the fake attempt on his life, facts don't matter.
