If a robot car came out of nowhere and yanked me out of my nice warm foxhole and then zigzagged through an active battlefield with bullets flying everywhere, you bet your ass I would be concerned.
I've seen the whole series, it is a quality anime without much silly humor. There is no overbearing hyperactive female lead as in so many other series. The sound is good, probably one of the strong points. The plot generates more questions than it answers, but that's pretty typical these days. There is balance between quiet scenes and action. Not something to watch if you don't want to devote some attention to the little details. Basically an antidote to Dragonball and their ilk.
PETA doesn't care about the animals, they care about the political power. They use people who care about animals to achieve their own goals. Open your eyes.
A user who installed a PCI card isn't going to be able to push a button? If that weren't so ridiculous, you could still make the button the "case opened" switch.
If you don't like DIY anything, then this is pointless: but go to DIYAudio and browse through the "Moving Image" section. The DIY LCD projector is becoming very mature and you can select different price and quality options to get price range from almost nothing to $1000. The average projector costs about $300-$400 and requires a few days worth of building. The kicker is bulb price. Typical bulbs used in DIY projectors will last several years, and cost only $40 to replace.
As for quality, here's what my first cardboard-and-duct-tape mockup was able to achieve: projected image. And this is FAR behind what the good DIY'ers are getting.
No, it's more like placing a $20 bill on your lawn right next to the sidewalk and waiting in a darkened window with a shotgun, just hoping for someone to set foot on your property so you can shoot them.
The homeowner KNOWINGLY left his router unsecured. Then he calls the cops on a guy who was using it. What kind of assclown takes that step first? Go to your fucking router admin page, switch to encrypted wireless, and watch the guy outside drive away.
The ship would sink, depending on how much steam there was. Basically, the density of the water is greatly reduced by all the bubbles. It's the density of water that holds the ship up. Sailing into this thing would be like dropping into a hole in the ocean.
No, sorry, because I'd have to dig it out of my desk and take it apart again. But if YOU want to do it, and put together a little writeup, I'll help. It was the Durabrand (craptastic) model for under $40, it sounds ok for computer use, though the center channel is little too wimpy and tinny. I might replace that speaker with a better one.
I grabbed one of those $35 "5.1 surround sound" speaker systems from Wal-Mart. They only accept a stereo input, and just kind of mix in the surrounds, center, and sub. So I popped it open and ran the numbers on the chips inside, locating the 6-channel volume control IC. I discovered that if I ran an audio signal directly to the inputs on the chip, it bypassed the stereo upmix. A few wires and drilled holes later, I had actual surround sound for my computer. Not gonna say it's the greatest sounding setup ever, but it was cheap.
The ideal location for massive computing operations would be in space. Not the ideal location for gaming servers, but a good place for supercomputers. Build a Beowulf cluster of satellites, send up more computer satellites to upgrade the cluster.
Heck, why not? Run some massive fiber along the big pipeline. Only disadvantage is that you're out on the edge of the Internet, you're not safely embedded in the middle with nice redundant capabilities.
That was entirely tangential and ultimately useless information that adds no value to this discussion....which means that it was perfect for Slashdot! Keep up the good work!
The original best game for Palm: SFCave. SFCave is the kind of game that a bored microwave designer could easter-egg into the control panel. I wish they would.
Today's FPS games were *made* to be played with a keyboard. Using anything but a keyboard and mouse is akin to dropping your pants and grabbing your ankles.
Some of it is low quality, and some of it is covered with clouds and shadows on the ground.. and some of it is taken from ridiculous angels, making everything look funny.:)

Zoidberg isn't real. So, the answer is no.

If it's a girl geek, this is one case where Serial ATA might actually be better....
A note for the future, it'll really help smooth the rest of your life out: no one cares what you think is important.
"Noun of War"...that's brilliant! I'm going to write a video game set in...a bleak future. OK! I'm done!

Vonage is only as good as the telephone you plug into it. Many cheap corded and cordless phones sound terrible, especially on speakerphone.
I use Vonage and it sounds great. Yes, I did call another phone and tested the outbound quality.

I guess now we know Geordi posts on Slashdot.

It's not that bad of a mistake, after all, you DID spell "ridiculous" correctly.

Why would I bother to register and download without knowing anything about the game?
