Manned spaceflight has already been done 30+ years ago. The technology is there to do it. What China and India are doing is simply re-inventing the wheel.

Ok its good for a country to have their own facilities from which they can launch satellites etc, but shouldn't we have a broader planet-wide space program ? Countries around the world should be collaborating in order to achieve the next big thing. Not just go at it by themselves in order to boost national pride.

    My 2 cents.

The problem is that the electoral base of the Republicans (which is apparently, and unfortunately the majority of american voters) does not care what goes on outside their country. As long as the president can control gaz prices at reasonable levels, keep the interest rates low so they can continue their buying frenzy, and make them FEEL like they're safe, they're content with that. So sadly enough, for the majority of americans, there was NO reason not to vote for Bush.

Americans have always been more interested with what goes on inside their country then out. And it looks like the majority of them cannot understand that their current foreign policy will only fuel hate towards America, and can only hinder their precious "war on terror" in the long run.

For a country that is so proud of being so religious, whatever happened "Do upon others what you would like done to you" (??? sorry can't remember the real quote) ? You bomb people left and right, overthrow democratic governments throughout the world in favor of dictatorships in your own interest... and then your surprised that people in the world hate Americans that much ??

For once i think bin Laden had it right when he said that America's future was not in the hands of Kerry or Bush, but in their own hands.

Wake up and face what's really happening around us. The world is not a pretty place. Compassion, education, cheap medecines free of any patents/restrictions would go a lot further than sanctions, bombings and Departments of Homeland Security. Here in Canada the counting is does by volunteers of each party. Get 2 republicans, 2 democrats supporters and another one for the other candidates, and count / recount until everybody reaches a concensus within +- a certain percentage.

    It really isn't rocket science.

Getting volunteers is even better too, because you get the population actively involved in the voting process. Plus if they're actually taking time off their schedule to do that, you know they're dedicated to whichever party they're supporting and won't take their jobs lightly.

What about blackjack though ? I heard somewhere that by counting cards, you could get your odds up to as much as 52% (obviously this number is gonna depends on how many deck of cards the casino uses, and how many they actually use up before reshuffling).

The casino here uses 7 decks of cards, and reshuffles after 4. So its pretty much impossible (i.e very very hard) for someone to start counting cards. But what about these online casinos ?? What stops you from running some program where you continuously enter which cards have been dealt and have it tell you whether to hit or stand ??

I guess the online casinos could have algorithm which would detect this kind of "playing behaviour" from the user and kick out that person from every playing at their casinos... But there has to be something else, this just sounds too easy :)
