You're absolutely right, if you think your employies are going to be sending a bunch of condemming emails that are likely to end with you in jail, then you probably won't want to use this. For the companies that aren't breaking every other law...
Yeah, here where I work, Slashdot is one of the VERY few nongovernment sites not blocked. Even some sites relavant to my work are banned. Even my personal webpage is blocked after two visits to it for links.
The developers of EVE Online have said that they currently have the in game capeability to make the billboards at gates currently displaying bounties available for rent by players and may impliment it with the next update. Also, On EVE, I don't belive having real world ads on the bilboards would be that detracting. Especially if they were adjusted to have a futureistic touch, even though they were for current products. For instance, they could have an ad for Coke in a futureistic looking bottle, or a Ford ad, but with a futureistic car. It would still bring across the brand name to the gamer, but would fit with the period of the game as well. The same idea could easily be applied to other games that aren't based on a real world situation.
As about 1% of all teens attempts suicide and about 1% of those suicide attempts results in death, the average number would be 800 suicide related deaths in 8 million. I'd say that's freaking amazing suicide prevention. http://kidshealth.org/teen/your_mind/mental_health /suicide.html
Boyah! Baldur's Gate 2 with the expansion installed is still my favorite game of all time. I played that thing over and over and over. The original Diablo was also a very good game that I play Currently though, I've been dividing my time between EVE Online, Fable: The Lost Chapters, and the new Gauntlet.
From the lecture he made. It seems to me that special interests have been a roadblock wielding undue influence over policymakers. The special interests seek to maintain short-term profits with little regard to either the long-term impact on the planet that will be inherited by our children and grandchildren or the long-term economic well-being of our country. That's the closing statement of the lecture. I could understand them having a problem with government employees saying things like that in a lecture. It's pretty much an attack on the current administration, which is not appropriate from a higher-level government employee. Sure, he's entitled to his own private opinion, but making statements like this in a lecture is a bit unprofessional. The rest of the lecture has some good metrologicaly sound arguments. Not everyone will agree with it, including myself, but this is a pretty controversial issue and many experts don't agree. I'd simply like to point out that they may be silencing him because he can't keep his comments professional.
What? You have a life outside gaming? How do you fit all of that other stuff in around WoW and Battlefield II? I swear, I barely have time for Slashdot and eating. I've heard nasty rumors about this thing called sleep as well, but I don't know what that is. I think there is something to the rumors about gaming being bad though because I occasionally find my head on the keyboard and I've died.
According to the article, the gene only slows things down. In tests, tumor cells with the gene preasant are smaller, but they're still there. While it's very exciting and will undoubtably lead to new treatments, it's not a cure yet.
I'm rooting for the Jobs does housecleaning in Disney and the entire thing is a huge success theory. Disney would be smart to give him a position of athority with his record so far.
I love their colorful Monopoly money. It's even more colorful athn the Euro and the Canadien Dollar. As to starting a flamewar, I'm a US citizen and I agree with you 100%.
You won't be getting any flames from me.
No, that's what the scandal was about, remember?

They are when they get paid for each and every test.
I can take a shower without having to stop playing EVE.

Where are all of my mod points when I need them? I see a lot of Trolls.
IMHO, Sci-Fi and Cartoon Network are the only major networks.
And that's a GOVERNMENT project!
One word, Stargate.
and ever and ever....
Yeah, and if any Army personel were around, the thing would be scrapped and the supplies eaten before it got out of the gate.

Don't forget emphysema. I think that's a tad worse than discolored teeth, or the stench that surrounds you.

Reguardless, he'll still have clout, and there's been talk of him being put on the board of Directors. http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/dnflash/jan200 6/nf20060120_2325_db016.htm?campaign_id=rss_daily

As Jobs is still the largest stockholder of the company, how many changes will really take place?

Or the portion that our puny telescopse can see anyways.
Or could create the biggest fireworks show yet seen on earth?
