    Assuming you're not trolling... It makes the cpu faster. Information in cpus travels with limited speed. Bits arrive faster at their destination when the transistors are packed more closely.

    unlike you, with your theories based on nothing else than personal experiences, the virus writer is actualy testing it by experiment.

    Yes, or an amiga 500 or 1200 if you want to focus on 2D. It has a processor with a very nice instruction set and nifty video hardware. But I guess old stuff doesn't sell well. ;)

    you work for microsoft? I don't need a new puter to display text and images, it does that just fine. Adobe needs a new fileformat / viewer.

    Yes! That's a briliant idea! When the adult brain is not plastic enough, why not use children brains as a coprocessor? The only problem is where to leave it.. Perhaps artificially expand the skull to hold an extra smaller brain?

    Assume the brain alwasy recieves 640x480. When zooming out to 1280x960, the image will be scaled down to 640x480 before sending it to the brain (removing pixels instead of making them up by interpolation).

    That is true for now. It's just a matter of time until resolution of CCDs are 100 fold of what they are now without reducing quality per pixel.

    Upload a mind to the computer, run it, pull the plug and you just killed someone. Perhaps this kind of research should be disallowed, it's sort of murder..

    instead of adding extra weight, it might be possible to use an existing part of the chopper as a flywheel. The energy source seems like a good candidate.

    What the QWERTY system tries to maximize is alternating keystrokes with the left hand and the right hand

    dvorak layout is much better at this.

    So you walk in a transporter, and you die, while a copy comes out the other end. The only way to remedy this would be to send the actual molecules down the transporter "line" rather than the data, but this would be much, much more complicated

    Both methods breaks down the living creature so I don't see a huge difference. Anyway, I would be curious to know how many people would refuse to use such transporters because of the die/recreate thing.
