It makes the cpu faster. Information in cpus travels with limited speed. Bits arrive faster at their destination when the transistors are packed more closely.
Yes, or an amiga 500 or 1200 if you want to focus on 2D. It has a processor with a very nice instruction set and nifty video hardware.
But I guess old stuff doesn't sell well.;)
Is the adult brain plastic enough to learn to process this data at all? What about a child's brain?
Yes! That's a briliant idea! When the adult brain is not plastic enough, why not use children brains as a coprocessor? The only problem is where to leave it.. Perhaps artificially expand the skull to hold an extra smaller brain?
Assume the brain alwasy recieves 640x480. When zooming out to 1280x960, the image will be scaled down to 640x480 before sending it to the brain (removing pixels instead of making them up by interpolation).
such as uploading human minds to computers to run at a faster rate
Upload a mind to the computer, run it, pull the plug and you just killed someone. Perhaps this kind of research should be disallowed, it's sort of murder..
instead of adding extra weight, it might be possible to use an existing part of the chopper as a flywheel. The energy source seems like a good candidate.
So you walk in a transporter, and you die, while a copy comes out the other end. The only way to remedy this would be to send the actual molecules down the transporter "line" rather than the data, but this would be much, much more complicated
Both methods breaks down the living creature so I don't see a huge difference. Anyway, I would be curious to know how many people would refuse to use such transporters because of the die/recreate thing.

The reason is that the masses like simple (bad?) songs. It's only a shame they get awards for it.
how ironic...

my first thought was "this is stupid" but maybe it's handy when sharing semi-private files.
unlike you, with your theories based on nothing else than personal experiences, the virus writer is actualy testing it by experiment.
hmm.. energy is quantized by the Plank constant but i don't think position is.

you work for microsoft? I don't need a new puter to display text and images, it does that just fine. Adobe needs a new fileformat / viewer.

That is true for now. It's just a matter of time until resolution of CCDs are 100 fold of what they are now without reducing quality per pixel.

dvorak layout is much better at this.

No, that would be Step Four
Why is it that QNX is used so rarely?
"d00d. Maybe u should concentrate on getting a girlfriend first."
a girlfriend to drive you nuts enough to drill holes in your head?
not something to be asked on
Try these:
life
Cell (biology)

It also means faster code, no need for overflow checking code anymore
