While Vogel didn't reveal much of the technical detail behind how the ICE system works, he did state that it was backed up by live monitoring -- so presumably he'll be looking to hire people to watch solitary TV stations 24/7 -- to enable the system to react automatically to ad changes, or late running TV programs.
If spams are anything like ads, maybe it's time someone looks into doing something similar (live monitoring) for spams.
Did X Prize specify the maximum time allowed from launch to reaching the space?
The da Vinci Project Team is using helium balloon to lift its rocket for the first part of its journey, and SpaceOne is using WhiteKnight which goes round and round until it reaches a certain altitude.
At first glance, it did look like a force-upgrade stunt pulled by TIVO.
However, if DirecTv has been offering users who complain a $79 credit, I can't see why consumers do not want to take this opportunity and upgrade to Series 2.
I see there's a built-in graphic (VGA port), but no where can I find the mention of TVOut, so I guess it's not part of the package.
Personally I have to wait until there's a AMD version + TVOut. I (and most people) already have a 'okay' desktop, but I wouldn't mind an entertainment centre that can be placed in the lounge.
Since Google is going public soon, I hope their taking PR and self-control more seriously.
I certainly do not wish to witness another good nature (we don't do evil) company going after everybody in court for controversial trademark, copyright, domain name infringements.
Since playing radio is still legal, would it be possible to design a 'smart radio' which searches and switches to another station if the music is no longer playing (i.e. with advertisement or DJ talking).
With such radio, dentists (or whoever) can preset a couple of like-taste stations and skip all the ads and talking, it'll be like a non-stop music album.
I have a PS2, which also plays PS1 games (like combining a PS1 with a PS2 into a mega PlayStation Entertainment Centre), but I hardly play those PS1 games anymore.
Would this potential bigger fish (outsourcing) forces Nigerian government to take a good look at actually stopping spams and scams coming out of their country?
In some Asian countries, Microsoft won't invest unless the government stops software piracy, but that drives some to OSS though:)
This comes mere weeks after Slate recommended Firefox over Internet Explorer.
I don't think the above is part of the reasons for such sales, as stated on the article, the sales allows MS to "create a partnership with another media company, which could potentially help increase advertising revenue on the MSN site."
Are you wearing glasses at the moment? Have you tried contact lenses?
Personally, I am wearing glasses and sometimes contact lenses, and i find they're enough to get on with my life, so I never consider laser eye surgeory.
Unless U2 is releasing their unfinished album on iTunes (maybe with some rough cuts), it's not going to prevent the rough-cut version from being more popular than the complete album.
History tells us that incomplete things actually commands more value, like money notes, stamps etc.
Wasn't it not long ago we constantly ask why media companies like Sony is, on one hand, trying to prevent users from copying copyright materials, and on the other, trying to sell copying device like NetMD and DVD Writers?
With this new Bill, they won't be able to have the cake and eat it anymore.
I think promising new filesystems in a year or two is a big word.
Wasn't the immediate urgency a comparable GUI to Windows or Apple?
$3.4 million (about 1/3) of which would go to paying its customers' legal fees
So who's the winner here?

I think web-based games are one of the entertainment for wage slaves, after Slashdot. I wonder if there's any 'mainstream' publishers out there?
Video games are more interesting, but the lack of time and money committment might push some away.
The price difference might be caused by the different level of services attached to a product.
On the other hand, businesses are more likely to buy in bigger quantity, or at least buying more regularly.
If this car is coming out soon, we'll have drivers killed or charged when trying to communicate with each other :)

...homemade, low-cost systems are feasible? Where can I find out how to inject signals into my head?
:)
Homemade, low-cost, inject signals into my head... For some reasons I don't think this is one place for DIY

Well, at least we won't hear the annoying loud music pumping out of a riced up car in the middle of the night near our neighborhood soon.
Who actually owns so many Nintendo consoles?

One step backward, two steps forward.
