I have yet to find an LCD to offer equivalent screen size, dot pitch, top resolution and latency to my monitor without (And that is the key word) resorting to one of Apple's rather sexy displays for way over budget - http://www.apple.com/uk/displays/
Also, if you're doing your web design properly you only use pixels for specific tasks, everything else is in relative terms which should be made to look right by having the monitor's DPI set correctly. Linux (Most user-friendly flavours), OS X and Windows XP all do this either automatically (Macs) or with a nice on-screen ruler.
The only issue is you get an 07 (Mobile) number, so even when you're at 'home' and over the VoIP people calling in still get charged their provider's rates for connecting to mobiles. It's only outgoing calls which benefit from the low cost VoIP.
"Red tape", at least in British English, is used to refer to excessive rules and regulations. For example, "There is too much red tape in getting employment nowadays". Could it be referring to EULAs?
I would argue it's a major change in functionality. Static HTML was 1.0. The ability for servers to use CGI and do some 'thinking' about what to give you was 1.5. The ability for groups of users to directly influence the returned content is 2.0.
What's new is that before you couldn't easily integrate. Sure, I could use Notepad and knock up a website with some photos on it. Alternatively I could use Flickr, upload them and tag them.
First way - Search engine may be able to find them. Alteration meant a lot of ballache.
Second way - I can quickly navigate tags, build sets, and organise.
To use your example of Amazon, the kind of integration means that not only are reviews in one place, but it's easy to work out if ther reviewer is good (Based on the useful or not votes). It could also work out if that person is an expert on the topic, based on the kind of products he usually buys or looks at.
My 'MP3' phone is DRMed to hell and back, and it's got bugger all storage space. I am, however, getting a new one with a 2 megapixel camera. At that level, for most purposes, it's really only optics which cause a noticable difference between phone photos and camera photos. And if you need perfect optics, you shell out for a decent camera.

Actually, the plasma is held in place by a tightly controlled magnetic field (The exact formation method doesn't need to be known). Since the only way to do this without causing the plasma to stream one way is to have the field rapidly oscillate polarity. The chances of two lightsabers being in exactly the same polarity alignment for long enough to intersect are so infintesimally small the scriptwriters couldn't be bothered with it.
The trouble with all these auto- bits is they assume conditions are ideal. Landing is the most complex and dangerous part, and auto-land is still designed to be used in emergencies only.
Improving technology with regards to positioning and orientation make this easier, but for a truly autonomous passenger jet it would need to take into account things such as load weight, weather conditions, other planes both in the air (easy enough) but also on the ground during taxi. For takeoff it needs to maintain orientation relative to the runway, compensate for wind; and for landing it needs to do everything from approach angle to appropriate brake points to runway alignment... the list goes on. What if the airport isn't fitted with the alignment equipment on the runway? A pilot could bring the plane down safely, the AI wouldn't have a clue.
I don't deny it will happen, but I disagree the auto takeoff, pilot and landing functions can be strung together at the moment (or even in the immediate future) to produce a totally autonomous passenger craft even approaching the safetly levels of current piloted craft.
We're thinking of getting one for our 6th form centre. UK supplier, no website (Ugh) but it grinds, measures, tamps, and makes the espresso on-demand. Takes about 40 seconds to make a coffee.

Because IE doesn't meet the standards. Firefox isn't perfect, but it's a lot closer than IE.
The majority of new browsers (NOT browser installations) are heading towards full standards compliance, so it is in fact IE which is the odd one out despite having the largest slice of users. Since developers get pissed at having to design specifically to work around IE's problems, MS is now seeming to make an effort to meet standards with regards to CSS etc.
It depends, quite often the peer-created content is peer-reviewed and subsequently the interesting stuff ends up on the top and the 10-second attempts are relegated to the 1-star category and tagged with "useless"

Leave the bloody pixels alone!
Who put the ram in the rama-lama ding-dong?
The CTP version I have doesn't seem to like legacy apps at all. That said, however, it doesn't seem to like native apps that much either.
Bizzare thought, but why not? Surely all types of fats and oils could (in theory) be pooled together then refined into the most useful substance.

I'll tell you right now, GCHQ Cheltenham ain't where the big computing power is.

Hey, nothing tops CowboyNeal.
Despite the foolishness of sushi-USB, these are genuine products.
It won't actively promote porn, it will provide an easily-filterable place to keep it all.

I'm more of the XTLA, because then DeXTLA flows nicely. As always, IANAAS (Acronym Specialist) and YMMV.

I reckon corkscrew grips inserted at an angle. That way they can be removed when you need to move the machinery.
