...because Sony and Nintendo will just be annoying us homebrew users. Indiscriminately criminalising your customers will not make the "bad guys" go away - they'll just multiply!
The real problem is that the industry - and that's not just Sony and Big N - still keeps ignoring is pricing. Maybe you gotta stop labeling crap the same as diamonds. (and yeah, I know Third Parties don't get a say in this!)
I think a general drop in prices is called for - and maybe the dropping of the belief that "Visuals are Everything".
I think it's pretty cool that old sites like this get mentioned - even if the more fascinating thing about this one is - for me, personally - that it's been around for at LEAST 8 years. Pretty cool, eh?
...it's the vendors, too. Only one week ago I was in a Saturn (site's in german) on Vienna's (Austria) "Mariahilfer Strasse" to dig through the rooting crate (with old but great games from 1997 and older!), and what I saw at the cash booth was - to say the least - terrible! A boy, by no means older (presumably much younger) than 14 years went up to the saleswoman and placed GTA: San Andreas (the 18+ version, not to be sold in Germany) on the desk. The saleswoman took it, scanned it, and sold (!!!) it!
IMHO protection of children and young people should start were the items in question are sold, don't you think?
BTW, I own GTS:SA in the 18+ version (including hot coffee mod) myself, but hey, I'm 22.:P
I think it's great - and time! I really don't like having to remember 20 or so passwords just so because if one of them gets hacked my other data is secure.:(
Well, I was watching TV (I live in Austria), and I was way angry 'bout them interrupting my favourite TV series for a burning building...
Well, at least I didn't miss out on an interesting topic (not that I couldn't have heard about it later...)
Ya ne, Ranma
In Europe, there are countries (Germany, for example) that explicitly allow back-up copies.
IMO, Nintendo's rules don't apply in such countries.

...be playing with my network connection offline.
Seriously: It's really not so bad having real-life ads; so long, as they are hard-coded. Active ads go way too far, in my opinion.
Ah, the fond memories of funvertisements...
I'd be the first one to buy it. :P
btw, nice to see you alive, Taco!

Note to self: Next time check "break" commands even when in hurry. ^^

...on the QAF (Quality Assurance Failure) Document I use to note myself such games. See sig for other examples.

personally, I don't really need it. I like to have my hands free when talking, so I'll stick to my good ol' headset. ;)
Great - another annoyance sentenced legal! Will stupidity never end?
Please don't destroy my last illusions of hope.
Whoops, hit the "Submit" Button instead of "Preview" - so much for my credibility. *sigh*
This is just the same as the User/Root-Approah Microsoft plans - too lat, as always!
