Ripal Uno - April One...
Why does every april fool story try to use an anagram, do something different please....
You have to understand that google, whatever it's motto be, is a public company owned by shareholders in the end want to make money. If google let's go off the china market because of censorship, sooner or later they are going to be behind yahoo or someone else who opens up shop in china and cuddels up to the government.
China, in a few years from now is going to be a very big market, definetely larger than Japan and maybe even the USA. You cannot afford to not have a presence in China.
This is really a breaking news that should be broadcast over cnn. But I guess we always knew this, but still the rest of the world needs to be aware of these IP lawyers and the hysterically funny patent systems.
It's like someone would still want to ride a bullock cart instead of a car because bullock carts move slowly and hence there is a lesser chance of accident and injuring yourself.
This is a classic example where developing countries gloat in some of their backward solutions and don't embrace the newer technologies that would supplant those dysfunctional solutions
start using A9.com they give you a discount of 1.57% after you have used them for a gazillion time. If they are going to get my records atlest I can save some money out of it..
however when you search for... you gotta to go to askjeeves.com I bet their records did not get subpoened.
No, in 2009 we will launch another probe which will be twice faster than this and hence be able to do the journey in only 4 years.
So we should have rather waited to send it or should be even wait till 2011 where we will be able to send another one which will be twice faster than the one in 2009 and hence be able to do it only in two years..
huh what the hell, send them all..
I still have to figure out what kind of information is needs more security than I have, (No windows, No server daemons, Firewall at the router, Firewall on the machine, No telnet or any other kind of access from the network). Still haben't gone for an encrypted filesystem since I don't keep any financial / credit card / passwords on my machine. They are all in head. Fortunately I have a good memory and can remember a really long random sequence of number and letters.
So, most of the security is to prevent other people gaining control of my machine for malicious purpose, other then that, they are not going to find anything useful on my machine for any financial or any kind of gain.
The best security is keeping information without undue duplication. If you can keep the information in your mind, keep it there, no need to keep it elsewhere.
Similarly, Credit card number are best suited on the credit card themselves and no where else. Why would anyone want to keep their credit card numbers on a computer is beyond me.
Yeah, most people who use firefox are intelligent enough to stay away from those phishing sites. But at the same time, I have an apple and the only browser I have installed is Firefox and sometime's my innocent family shares the computer. I would rather train them to look at where the site is hosted, simpler than explaining everything about phishing. Which I have to explain using analogies of "Fishing" and "Baiting", let's just say it gets complicated for a person not well aware of internet to figure that out.
Too bad.. I thought the APE's would make a movie like "Jurassic park" with the theme of resurrecting Humans from their DNA and putting them in electrified cages on an isolated island and convert that island into a theme park.
Maybe we need to wait a little more for that too happen.

True.
Why don't they invest in renewable energy sources and create a powerplant that could harness the solar energy or the tidal energy for that matter. All this does is create another thing that you need to monitor.
Also the geo-political face of the world changes every 25 years, who knows whether the country that has the nuclear reactor would even be there in the next 30 years, and if it is not there then who would be responsible for that nuclear reactor...
This is a very stupid idea.
Yeah. Once T-Mobil and Cingular start having good coverage I would change my plans. The only reason to be with Verizon is whatever the rest of the competitors say they are all lagging behind Verizon in coverage. especially if you have to travel a lot and that too to small places.
Come on T-mobil and Cingular show us your worth.
14/1000 = 14/1000*100 = 1.4%
It's not called piperank, it called TiSR (Toilet in service Ranking)

Damn... I am on a IPv6 network and it still says nothing unique about my IP.
Has Sun become so pathetic that they are claiming victory that Apple nearly moved to sparc?
or he could still be the richest dead man.

it would have been better if it never became network aware...

The best would be to make them use what they span for continuously. They should be made to use their penis enlarger and breast enhancers.
hopefully someone will open a good Movie Site to buy digital movies something akin to iTunes.

I agree, probably the closest to reality and hence did not qualify as "science fiction".
oh puhlease... This is history.. was eradicated in early 1800's. And this movie was set in 1900's with airplanes making flight over himalayas.
