This is actually very easy, as I have recently done this same conversion. As noted in "The Definitive Guide to MySQL" by Michael Kofler, all you need to do is simply use the DTS wizard to export the table to an access database, and then use a mysql odbc driver to export it from access to mysql. This has worked flawlessly for me on many different tables.
Mandrake has a live cd, and seems to be the best solution for a beginner. I have converted several people to Mandrake and they all seem to be happy with their solution
dvd burner, modded xbox, its a dvd9 release of the game meaning it won't fit on a regular dvd5 dvd. So if you don't have a DVD9 burner(which most people don't at this point) you have to either copy it onto your XBox or find someone that has a DVD9 burner.
For cvs management, we use TortoiseCVS (http://www.tortoisecvs.org/). You can use Dev-C++ if you do not want to use Visual studio (http://sourceforge.net/projects/dev-cpp/) and you can use wxWidgets(wxWindows) if you want to develop cross platform GUIs (http://www.wxwidgets.org/)
That is a good idea, but do you realize how big of a pain that would be if a user mistyped his password and the file was huge? (You are not supposed to write down your passwords)
You are 100% correct. But I think the general consensus here is that Google should cover their tracks so they do not get in trouble, or get hassled. In my opinion, they should keep tabs on data exploits like these and remove them. But I do agree, the people that have this data should be responsible. I mean hell, all they have to do to keep google out is use robots.txt...
The main reason why I do not use java to build applications is because I cannot require users to install the java VM just to use my applications. In my opinion the only way Java will become a serious competitor is if it is implemented into the Operating system.
Being on the phone with Dell tech support is by far the worst experience ever. They don't have a clue, and it sounds as if they are reading off solutions to a list of problems that sound like the one you might be having. Hopefully they move the damn thing out of India.
Doogie tried solving this in Numb3rs as well.
Does anyone know of a good debugger for PHP applications? I'd like to be able to step through the execution of a php script...

I was reading about this, it was on the right and side where slashdot shows their ads... kinda funny
There is a reason for people dying when they do. There would be major overpopulation if people were to live that long...

Couldn't read the article. Any mention of what types of monitors may increase the risks ?
