Delivering products that have the consumer in mind, and having corporate policies that also have the consumer in mind are two entirely different things! I'm sorry, Apple fans, but Apple is just as hognoxious as Microsoft in many respects. Better quality products? Sure, I suppose. Less bloodthirsty management? Nope.

Sorry, only someone who is an MS fan, or ignorant of what MS has done to the entire industry would compare the too. Sure, apple has done a lot of shit stuff, and this is one good example of that. But Microsoft has destroyed corporations through dodgy practices, forced us all to pay for there OS whether we want to use it or not, constrained entire industries to using there shitty browser ie6, and they are still stuck with it. Broken standards all over the place, tried to enforce those standards everywhere, lied, stolen, kidnapped (probably) to get where they are today. They are certainly the most ruthless company in the IT world.

I am sure you have other reasons for enjoying Vista, but this is just not worth the change for a lot of people. I used Vista a few times, just for testing. All I wanted to do was change some setting, stuff that is so easy in XP, and they have moved all this shit around in Vista for no good reason. What a load of bullshit.

Nobody gives a shit about the OS, people just want to use there applications, email and browser. The OS should get in the way as little as possible. Vista just changed to much, is bloated, and a real PIA.

I have tried Bing, and found its results to be far inferior to google.

Search for "v8 supercar drivers", bings results are useless and misleading. The adverts are right at the top, before the results, and both are crap and have very little to do with what I am looking for.

Google, the first results is the main v8 supercars site about the drivers, the other results wikipedia site about the drivers, and sites about v8 supercars. Exactly what I wanted.

Maybe search is really hard to do well. Sure, microsoft are like wolfram, they have a lot of special screens for special searches, if you are after an actor, or info on a date. Anything beyond that and they are useless.

I think people like you who don't see a difference are either not looking hard enough, continuously searching for the most basic stuff, or a shill.

Feel free to give an example of where bing results are better than googles. I am yet to see one.
