    These people aren't moronic, they just consider the impact we are having on the environment more important than whatever you consider more important. They would rather see people using less energy to power their big tvs and multiple computers, rather than building more power stations of any variety.

    Whether you agree with them or not, I would suggest that you are the moron for not being able to understand that people have different values than yourself.

    And while I'd love to point fingers and laugh at the USA, trust me, it's no better in Europe.

    And even worse in the non-western world. A sad state of affairs. But most people don't want to live in the real world, they are much happier living in their fantasy world, with a god who watches over them, and will provide true justice.

    Depending on who you hang with, it has always been a little embarrassing to say you like them. I mean, sure I liked them, but they weren't great masterpieces. Much more like the Mummy or early Batman than the dark knight.

    It is exactly the same with passenger planes. Leave the passengers & flight crew at home, and you can make a vastly faster and cheaper plane.

    Seriously though, if they didn't put windows in passenger planes, it would a lot cheaper and structurally safer.

    Functional in that they do what they do very easily, they function very well. Sure, they can't do as many things as other products like the Nokia N800 or N95, but what they do, they do better and a lot easier.

    What you say is true, but each time we have made these comparisons, they have been vastly more useful than the previous comparisons. They have helped us to understand the brain more, and come up with things like electroencephalograms, and brain wave detectors.

    Even when we make comparisons to a computer today, we understand that we may be off, and there probably is more to it. It is just useful for us to do so.

    You realise you are talking about a company as if it is a person, with memories and learning. IBM is made up of a bunch of people, hopefully they have learnt from the past, but there is no guarantee about that.
