Well, it worked out well for her in this instance. I would imagine that anyone wanting to make use of any such software as this, will also have to remove their login passwords. I guess i should put a big notice on my laptop saying finger print scanner, so that nobody will try to steat it (it is an IBM, so there is no chance they are getting in).
This sort of thing happened to the library I have used all around the world. There first catalogs were often unix based terminals, that would never crash (unless the whole system was down), and would return a result in seconds. Of course they were not in colour, so they had to go. Now, they are all normal PCs sitting around running a browser, that returns the result in 20-30 seconds, and suck in almost everyway. Thanks a bunch!
...Aber for anyone who doesn't know is one of the coldest, wettest, windiest and bleakest places in the UK
Really, I though that there were only two places in the UK like that, Scotland and England. Maybe Wales as well. And most of the time Ireland.
Oh well, i should be happy, we had one week of summer this year, a record I hear!
Back to the story, this is a great idea. If they find someone to power themselves, you have loads of drones in the ocean, monitoring ocean currents, as well as a border patrol (great for places like Australia).
If only it was that simple. The problem is that HP used to run this driver, which they weren't supposed to run, but never had problems with before. Since they weren't supposed to run it, why would anyone test for any problems with SP3? So who is to blame. HP who have not changed what they have been doing the for the last few years, or Microsoft who didn't test for something that you shouldn't be doing anyway.
That is not irony. And anyway, they do develop software for macs, so you would hope they have a few macs around the place. It is not like they make their own laptops. Now, if you found loads of macs at Dell headquarters, that would be something to sing about.
Sure, if he is innocent then there is no problem. He denies that he did, they take him to court, he wins and they pay all the costs. Or they don't even bother taking him to court.
If he is innocent, then this is just another scam, similar to ones that have been going on for years. It is a non-story.
I get bills sent to me every so often, asking me to pay some money that I don't owe. This is not a real problem.
I think that this is a story because he is guilty.
Yeah, but clearly the guy is guilty, and they know that. They also know that he is unlikely to have £1000s to fight for his rights in court, as well as all the stigma invovled if the papers get interested, affecting his future job. Whatever he demands from them, he has no rights until it goes before a judge.
You really shouldn't be downloading illegal stuff anymore.
Well, judging by your sig, I think that you may run across some reasons before, on why most of us here hate Vista. So lets not rehash that old argument again.
Maybe you should ask, what is so good about Vista?
Facebook solved this problem initially by requiring that you have a working University email address. Then they losened this requirement to increase numbers. Maybe they could just assume that everybody without a Uni email address is a minor, unless proven different, like credit card, etc...
Has your experience with sales staff from computer stores ever been much different. Unless you go to those small stores, you are just getting salesman. Just as the people selling fridges don't know about the latest advances in cooling, the people selling computers aren't experts in computers. If they were, they would be doing a different job, getting paid a lot more money.
Surprisingly, students are who this is aimed at, not highly paid IT professionals. And getting paid to sleep isn't to bad, I usually have to hide to do that, and then can only grab about 30 mins. It is much more difficult since I lost my office.
For something that is quick and simple, the use of a database is overkill. If you only need to make some quick changes to some data with >65k rows, then you will just be waising time and space using a database. Also, people have macros already setup to do some quite complex things, often procedures that have been forgotten since people have left. Changing this would be a real hassle.
I am surprised you get a connection at all from AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon in Australia. What sort of antenna do you have?
It's ironic that Dell and Apple have switched places from 10 years ago where Apple was in trouble and Dell was riding high.
Great post, but that is not ironic. It is not even uncommon.
Yeah, a couple of kegs of bread.
FTP evolved, where do you think mget came from?
Depends on how many hdd you have, and how often they break. If they only break 1 in a 1000, then you may be better of just using this solution.
Of course, you aren't because there are other problems that backing up solve, but still..
I don't have home internet access, my life was a little mad when I did. What do you need 24hr internet access for?
And even if you do get kicked of, you can still go to a mate house or internet cafe for your fix.

Yes, a hell of a lot better, as in 2x better. Still a good idea.

Are you sure you are at the right site? If you see DDR and think Dance Dance, then you are alone amoung us.
One wonders why you would still work in a place like that?

More likely this is the decision process.
1. We can pursue this avenue, and make NO money.
2. There is this other avenue we can puruse, and we make loads of money.
hmmm..tricky.

Yes, but the industry is built around that soory excuse for an OS, when it would be a lot better of if it had gone with something else.

It always helps you point when you point out why you think it is better.
