Within the scope of a team I agree with you except for the "weak, immature and cowardly" part. Metrics allow management to document performance. This is important when the recently dismissed dead weight sues for wrongful termination.
I like the cookie jar idea. I tried blocking third party cookies and it makes too many sites less then functional. Not all third party cookies are advertising. Newspaper sites that uses Disqus to host comments is one example. Gmail uses other google sites for cookies. There needs to be a way to whitelist some sites so they can set cookies regardless.
Posting with my Galaxy Tab using Chrome. Links to stories have no context menu for press and hold so it is not easy to open in new tab. Once in a story the back button does not return me to the list, pressing the back button twice sends me back to the login screen. Login failed without a message.
The biggest problem I have with my Galaxy Tab is sites that rely on mouse over messages and mouse over drop down menus. Since there is no mouse cursor, I can't activate the message or drop down. nfl.com is a good example of this. You can navigate to "scores" easily but getting to "standings" is problematic. All of the sites that rely on a mouse cursor or Flash can be rebuilt to support tablets but I'm not sure this is an improvement. The lack of mouse over messages is a problem with icons as well. If I don't know what an ambiguous icon does, the only way to find out is to poke the icon or wade through documentation.
Don't most movie theaters pay film rental plus a percentage of the gross? I want to know how they will work out how much of the subscription money to send to Hollywood. I like the idea of classics and/or foreign films but I doubt that Oakhurst is big enough to support such a theater.
OT: Oakhurst is a nice town on the junction of Highway 49 and Highway 41. Some years ago I found the coolest Round Table Pizza I've ever been too. Guinness Stout on tap along with a dozen other beers. The only pizza place I've seen with a comparable selection is the Moose's Tooth in Anchorage.
I don't give a flying fuck what he says. I want to know the facts, not the accusations and spin.
What really happened in Belize?
Did he kill anyone?
If yes, wouldn't it be righteous to allow the authorities to properly investigate the circumstances of the homicide?
My sense is that Slashdot has been in the tank for McAfee since this started. I want the truth and the whole story.
Watch a few episodes of Jay Leno's garage where they use a 3D printer to make parts and molds for vintage vehicle restorations.
This video of a sand printer is the most interesting application of 3D printing technology I've seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8MaVaqNr3U
So your point is that this is the Wright Flyer of a new technique? If so I look forward to the next Glenn Curtis and the corresponding era of biplanes.
INTERPOL cannot just shut down a site. It has to be shut down by law enforcement where the server resides. INTERPOL can work with local law enforcement but it can be difficult to get local law enforcement to cooperate. Look at a timeframe here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Ukrainian_child_pornography_raids to see how long it took to shut down these notorious sites.
... a sharpie ultra point would meet his needs of being thin, not having to press hard, dries instantly, and doesn't blob.
I use the Sharpie Ultra for these same reasons. The ink does bleed some. This does not bother me but might bother someone who is OCD about their pens.
I like the retractable Pentel 0.5 and 0.7 mm pencils for the same reason.

All you need is a method to accurately measure productivity.

They are more abundant than gold, silver or PGM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rare_earth_metal has a decent discussion.
I tried that. It's blurred out.
And a lot of people abuse the EBT cards for non essential goods and services. I had someone in front of a Wal Mart offer me an EBT card with over one hundred on it for sixty cash. Welfare recipients take out cash at strip clubs, liquor stores and X-rated shops
Thanks. The drop down menu is displayed under the "open in new tab" drop down some of the time. I'll try it on other sites as I find them.
