bummer, that was supposed to be a list, but here they are again. Bigger Than Cheeses, Least I Could Do, VG Cats. Sorry forgot how to make new paragraphs.
Try:
Bigger than Cheeses
Least I Could Do
VG Cats
but I suppose it is all specific to the type of humour you enjoy. I'm also biased towards Bigger Than Cheeses because it is from Australia, and you know...
Microsoft Longhorn: A False Hope.
(I probably the only one who understood that, but it is to do with the let downs that the first 2 new Star Wars movies were, and the way that the titles of these movies where layed out. That or it just wasn't funny.)
Smaller groups is not the key, but placing groups in different environments (like microgravity). Evolution has slowed because the gene pool is mixing and races (and gene pools) arn't restricted to one continent. If we isolated groups, they would evolve to adapt to their environment, but this isn't occuring because for many poeple their environment changes every generation (and they interbreed with people from different environments). I agree, though, that that quote was worded badly.
Can you be sued if you havn't downloaded any content, and havn't uploaded any content, but provide a website that hosts.torrent files? The MPAA can send you a cease and desist order, can't they? but is there much they can do to enforce it.
I doubt it will take off until widespread wifi is installed, until then though it may be relevent in an office environment, where your boss can record some announcement or instructions and you can access those from anywhere in the building or campus.
Superstring Theory - Excerpt:
"Superstring theory is an attempt to explain all of the particles and fundamental forces of nature in one theory by modeling them as vibrations of tiny supersymmetric strings." How does this differ from String Theory?
I know that every step towards an OSS model is a great, but can this be considered as anything more than Dish Networks trying to cover its own ass? They have released the GPL'ed bits, but are they relevent to anyone except Dish Networks (who has the proprietary bits as well)?
What I am really asking is; Do they care about themselves, the community or both*?
*both being mainly themselves.
sounds like australia (Sydney) except that you get to choose 1 of them to keep. Take Triple M, great music, relatively relevent ads, but annoying announcers, or Nova 96.9 where Merick and Rosso are tops, and ads are relevent, but music is all pop. (sorry if that only made sense to me, the rest of you probably don't know what I am rambling about).
it annoys me that I can't buy music online in a manner that is good for me. Ninemsn released a service, but it only provides drm'ed wma files that won't play on my iPod.
Sounds just like our stance towards the US when they moved into Iraq. "Oh, we don't want to annoy America, so we'll piss off the general Australian population instead."
arn't there rules against a company providing products for all purposes related to an industry (ie. microsoft providing all possible software to computer industry) and then using their influence to make people use only their software?
couldn't, by the same ticket, many stores have a machine that burns the dvd, then prints the image onto it. While doing that, it would make the case, by printing the slip of paper that goes in it, then printing the books/other pieces of crap they put in the case, then sticking all of these into a generic case?
you mean like the automotive industry? where manufacturors make the differences between makes and models highly apparent so that customers, although presented with a huge variety, have no trouble finding the suitable vehicle for them.
I'm pretty sure that Firefox gives back the memory when it is requested by another program (at least on Linux). I could be wrong though (I have never had that problem, and if I have, it has never been a problem.
I would have agreed with you for a while.
Now though my XP box locks up whenever I put a cd/dvd into my dvd drive. It takes about 10 mins for anything to work again. Everything else works as well as my SuSE box.

now everybody has jumped on the Podcast bandwagon. Even Apple!
the only reply that you ever get is "First Post!!!"
anyone want to be buy me one? come on... you know you want to!
Everybody wins! The consumers win, the company wins (good publicity), and opensource wins.

to clarify, this will only help if the infrastructure to setup this type of system will be cheaper than giving each employeed portable email readers.

sorry, by 'pop' I meant Latest Hits as defined by parent of my first post (grandparent of this post).
