    Google Web Accelerator is meant to speedup broadband browsing by prefetching.

    There is another accelerator that does http gzip compression with jpeg/gif resizing and recompression; perfectly suited for metered gprs/umts or dialup modems.

    I am not sure about that, what about this unknown body was moving? From the path different directions and the time coordinate you could conceivably say something about the mass or orbital properties of this object.

    What spyware now, what anoying features now? Is helix not enough, is ogg support not enough? Should Real bent over backwards for people like you? Judge a company for what they are doing now, not only for the mistakes they have made in the past.

    And what about categories? In Windows you have to add them to the registry - there is no such thing in Linux.

    No, it's not the same place. It is a different theory and different location - although close.

    The author of this theory Jenkins made an error when calculating the date of the conjunction with winter solstice sun and the galactic center. Guide 8.0 curiously plots it to be at 1999. Actually the conjunction takes place every year or so for a century, but the closest pass is 1999 NOT 2012.

    I use mcedit contained in Midnight Commander, more nostalgia and userfriendliness than either Joe or Pico. It also has a nice blue color which remind me of the days of dos edit or wp5.1. Screenshot here.

    recently i bought a hotbrick hardware router/firewall which is based on linux. Neat little box, with a webinterface, logging, vpn, nat and backup dsl line failover. Maybe one of the first in a whole generation of embedded linux hardware.

    someone over at doom9 wrote a directshow filter for realmedia so you can play it in mediaplayer or any other directshow app.

    ogg is not necessarily for audio, while ogg vorbis is. there also is ogg speex (speech audio codec) and ogg tarkin (video codec). what is referred to is ogg tarkin, not ogg vorbis.

    1) XviD is a open source implementation mpeg-4, which is *not* a free to use standard see the MPEGLA.
    2) Ogg Theora is more efficient at very low bitrates then XviD is. Real9 beats Ogg Theora on the ultra low bandwidth though (200 Kb/s)
