Oh and for the record. The commander and military force who liberated my village was Canadian.
The guy has a statue. We remember the soldiers who died for us every year with the whole village. Respectfully organized by the village counsel and federal government.
Some of them stayed here and they got housing from out government. They nowadays have a family, children and grandchildren. They are all integrated in our societies. And they are very much respected by our society. They just live among us, enjoying the freedom their grandfathers fought for. Just like our grandfathers did. Alongside with them.
Yes yes. It's going really well for the Brits. You can see that.
Poor people living there. It must have been great listening to the populist propaganda back then, though. Is costing them and will cost them their welfare state.
But whatever. If you look at the stock market in the EU, you notice that we've mostly passed the pain already. The UK has not, though. The EU country's economy is going fine and continuing. As expected.
Why do I speak English? Well, because you don't speak any other language. And I'm communicating to people like you. It's kinda a tradition in Europe to try to speak the language of the person in front of you. It's a form of politeness. Usually if the person in front of you notices that you have difficulties speaking their language, they'll try to make a friendly and social compromise with you on a language you both know.
Very often that is English. That's because internationally English is the current lingua Romana. When that lingua Romana switches to some other language, you bet that we will switch too. And that this website wont be dominantly in English.
But English is a relatively simple language. So why not? I'm fine with it.
You seem to be to only one who wants to turn that into a sign of superiority for the US. Well, actually, the US got English as their mother tongue from foreign invasions from Europe in the past. You do know that, don't you?
This is obviously true. We shouldn't be naive about the Chinese.
And I agree. Let's get the CCC involved. Let's use reproducible builds for the source code. Let's put the SoCs and chips under an electron microscope. Let's let the EU institutions fund such analysis and research in foreign hardware.
We have plenty of money and if not we can let the ECB print the money for this.
However. Let's not let the Americans tell us with whom we do business and with whom we don't.
Believe me, Without the EU you wouldn't have the knowledge the build the military tech you require to maintain your stupid empire.
And indeed, maybe we should start banning the US from our European knowledge and technology.
You know ASML? The company that makes the factories and machines that your silly Intel needs to make CPUs that are littered with security faults? European.
I can go on and on and on this way. Including space technology that you need to make and launch your military spy satellites. All European.
The truth is that your economy sucks, that your US brainpower sucks and that Europe and especially European technology, science and academic education dominates your empire in every individual aspect of humanity.
Your extremist capitalist society requires extravagant propaganda to maintain itself. And it's utterly scheduled for complete failure. All the signs are clear that the US empire is going down. And it's going down hard.
We just ask you to be silent. And don't kill too many people as you go down. There is an earth and a humanity after the US's empire.
We Europeans are not stupid. We crystal clearly know that the US is doing this in an attempt to wage economic war with China.
However. Post the US empire, there will still be the European Union. And that European Union needs to do trade with China. No matter what you fucking asshole Americans think.
So bye bye intelligence access.
And Hi Huawei! Hi China. Let's do trade.
What did you American fuckwits think? Go kill some Venezuelans with your bombs. We all know you want to. Murderers.
Here in the EU it's always the judge who decides whether or not you broke the law by speaking. Never the government or the legislative branch. You see, we have separation of powers since the enlightenment period.
The legislative branch creates the laws. The judge interpretes and executes the law (makes it happen, judges). The executive branch ensures that the law is applied (policing, imprisonment, etc).
So who decides? The judge after the legislative branch has creates the laws that the judge needs in order for him to interprete them.
It really is like that here. It's not a farce or something. It's in my country also the constitution. And separation of powers is also a de facto requirement before you can join the EU and/or if you want to stay in it (see Poland and Hungary who are both being told, clearly, by the EU, that they should not interfere with their country's juridical branch - and else you can fuck off from the EU).
The Einsteins' electrical firm manufactured dynamos and electrical meters based on direct current. They were instrumental in bringing electricity to Munich. In 1885, they won the contract that provided DC lights to illuminate the Oktoberfest for the first time.
Compared to today, that's like a software developer or computer geek. The kinda guy who'd post here on slashdot.
> 1. This paper is misnamed. Indeed > 2. This attack targets buggy email clients. Exactly > 3. The authors made a list of buggy email clients. Well said.
The MUA should not allow *any* utilization of HTTP when rendering a HTML E-mail. Any form of doing that is a serious mistake. Not only because of what is reported here, but also because that way *that* use of HTTP will allow spammers to identify when you open the E-mail. They use that to know if your E-mail adress is still alive.
Serious MUAs don't do this without user consent. Most HTML components even have a explicit offline mode exactly for that reason. Meaning that they won't automatically go online and fetch things like the src url of an IMG.
Any MUA that does this without user consent is completely and utterly wrong. Especially in a security sensitive context. This is something most MUA developers know about and if not, should know.
Well, if you run your "Linux distro" on Windows, as described in the article, then the kernel which you describe as the source of driver hell and kernel panics wont be running. Meaning you wont have the driver hell and kernel panics anymore.
ps. To be fair, any distribution that will run in or on top of Windows will in that form not be running as a Linux distribution but just as a distribution containing a bunch of open source softwares that run on Windows.
The point is making sure people who develop for a Linux target (a mobile device, a phone, etc) use Windows on their desk. Differently put, the point is that they use Visual Studio instead of for example QtCreator.
While the developer still has Windows on their desk they will also more easily target Windows for their developments, too.
"But the investor's traditional Davos predictions do not always pan out. Last year in Switzerland he warned that the stock market rally would end after Trump's election and that China's growth rate was unsustainable.
China's growth has continued while US stocks are regularly hitting record highs."
So basically, Soros is an 87 years old dude with a lot of opinions? Welcome to the club, Soros. *hug*.
Hey mate. We have plenty to do here. We really can't consider Americans' feelings and whereabouts in our daily activities.
Europeans, obviously. Chinese, definitely. Russians? Yeah, sure, mister Putin. Africans? Well, ok then. South-Americans? Sure, yes. Central-Americans? Whatareyou insane? These self-induced propaganda introctrinated people are wasted. We really have no time for their problems. Really. No. Just no.
I actually tried counting them once. I think we have seven. So when the Federal government is in formation, we have the outgoing government and six others simultaneously. But which one are ruling over me at that time, I don't quite understand. I'm just not smart enough to understand that.
I don't think anybody in Belgium understands any of this. I guess most people stopped caring.
Oh and for the record. The commander and military force who liberated my village was Canadian.

If it wasn't for the US involvement in the second world war, we would probably be speaking Russian over here.
However. Nice Godwin you did there.
You loose the debate. Completely.
Yes yes. It's going really well for the Brits. You can see that.

Give the geeks a lot of freshly printed money.
Not disagreeing with you here, but Albert Einstein's parents where not dumb or unremarkable:
The Einsteins' electrical firm manufactured dynamos and electrical meters based on direct current. They were instrumental in bringing electricity to Munich. In 1885, they won the contract that provided DC lights to illuminate the Oktoberfest for the first time.

How about digital criminal?
Recursion..
Other than not having to recompile and relink binaries with cygwin, or Ming, how is this very different?
We can already run pretty much everything of importance on Windows, using Cygwin.
Well, if you run your "Linux distro" on Windows, as described in the article, then the kernel which you describe as the source of driver hell and kernel panics wont be running. Meaning you wont have the driver hell and kernel panics anymore.

Open source existed before Microsoft existed as a company. So no, open source was not developed in direct opposition to it and its licensing models.
The point is making sure people who develop for a Linux target (a mobile device, a phone, etc) use Windows on their desk. Differently put, the point is that they use Visual Studio instead of for example QtCreator.
While the developer still has Windows on their desk they will also more easily target Windows for their developments, too.
It's basically Ballmer's developers, developers, developers song.
However, being an open source developer myself, I don't think that's a bad thing. More toys for us.
If Facebook follows the law, maybe.
So no.
"But the investor's traditional Davos predictions do not always pan out. Last year in Switzerland he warned that the stock market rally would end after Trump's election and that China's growth rate was unsustainable.

Stealing somebody else's with Win10 installed laptop?
"The world is full of fuckin morons."
That at least is correct, in your comment.
So in return we Belgians are going to get a movie about Belgium from Hollywood?
Start the litigations!
It was well hidden though. +1 for the guy anyway.
What? How? Americans matter? Also?
Hey mate. We have plenty to do here. We really can't consider Americans' feelings and whereabouts in our daily activities.

How, but, you think that we didn't have a government during our long government formation? No no no no. No. No you're wrong.
We had plenty of remaining governments.
I actually tried counting them once. I think we have seven. So when the Federal government is in formation, we have the outgoing government and six others simultaneously. But which one are ruling over me at that time, I don't quite understand. I'm just not smart enough to understand that.
