Some ppl might say suck it up, or if u can't stand the fire get out of the kitchen, but universities operate as a business. This makes you, the student the consumer, and as a consumer you have a right to good quality education.
Some of the problems he mentioned were encountered by me and my friends at Canadian universities.
These include: Having TA's do all the work, including teaching, marking etc. No feedback, besides your grade. Difficult to understand TA Difficult to understand Prof TA/Prof are always in a hurry to get back to their research No QA in course design Required courses overlapping content Over Assigned course content Instructors not making up classes missed. Arrogant instructors who try to make u feel like an idiot when you ask them questions.
and the list goes on. In many cases, I have found that I learned the material, not from the teacher, but collaborating with my peers and working on HW problems.
There a bunch of good instructors too, but far too many courses have bad instruction.
in that case u might wanna try starting with C++. Just get a good book. I use C++ the complete reference by Herbert Schildt.
When I was learning to program, I would do the examples that the book showed me, but I would always try to improve and make my own programs based on the knowledge I have in the language. In doing so, u gain valuable exp, which helps u become a better programmer.
Toby was a good spider man.. he fit the cast perfectly..
Kristen Dunst... she didn't look anything like the comic books..
In X-Men..
Wolverine was almost right, except he was too tall.
Storm was too young...
This so called space jammer is probarbly jamming a selected frequency band, or a bunch of frequency bands. The more frequency bands it jams the more power it needs. If someone uses CDMA over a very wide frequency band, this thing will have problems blocking it. Since this thing is remotely controlled via RF, it needs to operate at a specific frequency band. The signal will be almost impossible to jam if the enemy frequency band intersects the satellite control frequency band. Also, whats stopping the enemy from using the same frequency band as the control unit. Or them jamming the satellite frequency band.
Recently, we had several former staff members revolt against the entire P2P community as a whole. They tried to sabatoge Methlabs and attempted to wipe the Methlabs server of all its data.
Unfortunately, they gained access to site backups. In doing so, your passwords may have been compromised, although they are MD5 encrypted. We would like to you login to the Methlabs forums (http://methlabs.org/forums/) and change your password. We sincerely apologize for this issue.
As of right now, the Methlabs site is back online, although forum posts from the past month have been lost.
Since all the data was stolen by former staff members, YOU MAY RECIEVE FAKE EMAILS that look like they are from Methlabs. If they do not come from the Methlabs.org domain and from our email servers, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM.
We assure you that Methlabs development will continue, and ALL OFFICIAL PROGRAMS MUST be downloaded directly from Methlabs.org . Assume that all other sites contain spyware or malicious code which may not be directly trusted.
To update everyone on the current situation, there has been some news going around the Internet of a revolt which happened in Methlabs. This is hearsay. The current real news is that PeerGuardian development and Blocklist development is on schedule, and Blocklist should be out of Beta within the next week or so.
Please spread the word that Methlabs.org is ALIVE and DO NOT believe or TRUST any emails that do not come directly from Methlabs.org and our mail servers. These emails are from disgruntled staff members trying to hurt the P2P community as a whole.
We apoligize for the current situation. Please visit http://methlabs.org/ for OFFICIAL updates, and help us spread the word!
However, isn't a lot of the limits of WiFi caused by the radio signals being blocked by buildings or the landscape... or getting messed up by other radio signals? Shouldn't this mean that a normal WiFi station could cover a lot more area in say some barren northern tundra? Wouldn't the nature of most rural areas (lots of wide open spaces) make WiFi a lot cheaper for those areas?
In many of the remote areas, we have lots and lots of mountains and trees. These will pose a problem as well.
Speaking of ODBII, anyone know how to make an ODBII to serial cables. These cables are stupidly expensive. If I can get the cable working. I think I'll just write my own software to communicate with the car and read error codes.
I don't think the concept of hybrid cars hasn't caught on, its more of a price issue.
Hybrid cars are quite expensive. For example I drive a Chevy Cavalier. If I buy a new one, it'll cost me 16G's. If I buy a hybrid, it'll cost me at least 10G's more. The current gas prices are not that insane that I'm spending 10G's more in gas.
The reality of this is, there are so many other ppl out there who are not playing WoW.
I for one am not playing WoW because I would need to upgrade my comp and then invest a lot of time etc. So I buy other games that will take me less time to relieve stress.
Just because a bunch of ppl subscribe to X paper, doesn't mean some other ppl don't buy Y paper.
Its one thing that the USPO has no idea what is patentable. However the fact that a reputable company is choosing to abuse patents is something pretty sad.
I for one am gonna boycott Creative because of this.
If I am selling some copyrighted material. And some house down the street is selling copies of my copyrighted material. I have the right to sue the phone company for listing that house in their phone directory?
WTH...
Its upto the copyright holder to enforce his copyright on ppl who violate it. Not the person who lists it without knowing what it is.
This reminds me of the movie 'Mars attacks', where there were little green men with lasers attacking earth.
When they were asked how come we didn't see them when we explored Mars, they said that they were hiding in the canyons. Maybe thats still the case, lol.
In all seriousness though, if they want to check for life, why don't they grab a sample of this frozen water and get it back to earth. If indeed there is life, we might see some traces of it in the water. Maybe biological matter etc.
nothing wrong with paying top quality $$'s for top quality talent.
What about union ppl who have a large work pool, yet drive up their wages by organizing strikes. What about the ppl who get paid $18-25/hr to hold up a sign that says GO SLOW..
Your general argument is very true, but not this part.
"The Arab world was the cornerstone of world civilization in the Middle Ages -- they invented the zero, we still use Arabic digits."
The zero originates from India. The Indians mainly traded with the Arabs. The Arabs adopted the Indian system of numbers. The Arabs in turn invented Algebra.

Sounds like like a silly idea to me.
"Tax revenues come mainly from import duties and a 12.5 percent Value Added Tax (VAT) on goods and services."
Then I guess the incentive from the government is to create local jobs in Vanatutu.
Hmmm,
Thanks for the links, but why would they charge no taxes? How does the government get its money to run?
Excite Bike???
How about a Virtual Girlfriend 3D, excited on a bike.
Maybe I should have RTA better, but how is this going to work?
Are we supposed to send our own bot to the moon to pick up dirt? Or will Nasa take a bunch of selected bots to pick up dirt?
Whats so hard about picking up dirt? What am I missing? Someone care to explain!!

hmm.. scantool.net has a couple of these chips.
http://prj.perquin.com/obdii/
has a schematic and a free tool that seems to do the job.

I'm a new grad. I graduated last year.
I work in the Vancouver area, BC
I'm working with a startup, they have limited cash.
I do software and hardware programming.
Makin $33,600 CDN or $28200 US...
is this normal for new grads working in a startup?

I'm taking it that you're a troll, and you didn't even RTFA
