Just use an Expresscard TV Tuner and feed the 360 into it. If you didn't have the requirement that you be able to track what they do I would suggest picking up a 360 VGA cable and going directly into the monitor so they could game in HD, but I'm guessing that's not much of a priority.
FYI, Hasseys don't shoot 120mm film. I'm not even sure that there is 120mm film. They use 120 film, which is a long stip of film that gives a maximum dimension on the short side of a little under 6cm. The other dimension depends upon the camera. There are 6x4.5 cameras (often refered to as 645), 6x6, 6x7 and I've even seen a few 6x9s out there too.
Once again, 120 is the name of the format, not the size of the frame.
Black and white films are already expensive compared to color films of the same quality. Others have already said it, but TMax is a Kodak product so Nikon's leaving the film market really doesn't have much immediate effect on it's avialability. Kodak is still making it and have shown no signs of discontinuing it. They have, however, discontinued other black and white films and a bunch of slide films.
I don't think that film is going to go away any time soon, but instead become more of a niche artistic product. Photoshop and megapixels can do some pretty amazing things and when used properly give results comparable to that of good film, but silver halides look different than pixels. Like anything that gives people a choice, some will go with one and the rest will go with the other. I for one will continue to shoot film as long as I can find and afford it.
I'm a Canon man anyway. I've got two 35mm EOS SLRs and I'm going to get another as soon as I have the capital to do so. But then again, I'm one of those artsy photographers that cringes when he has to use a point and shoot, film or digital.
Could someone please explain to me how a first post could posibly be redundant? Honestly mods, just because you like to metamod doesn't mean you have the right to be stupid.
According to Yahoo!, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott 'filed a civil lawsuit on Monday against Sony BMG Music Entertainment for including "spyware" software on its media player designed to thwart music copying. [...] Texas is seeking civil penalties of $2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 5 * 5 * 5 * 5 * 5 per violation of the state's Consumer Protection Against Computer Spyware Act, which was enacted earlier this year. "Sony has engaged in a technological version of cloak and dagger deceit against consumers by hiding secret files on their computers," Abbott said in a statement.
I would like to thank you for a few things.
First, thanks for quoting the article. No one seems to think it necessary to do that anymore.
Second, thanks for spelling things correctly.
Third, thanks for avoiding the usual GNAA/FP first post jackassery.
Fourth, thanks for calling them on the Fox News link. Now they're gonna look a their refferal records and think that we're trying to hack them or something.
Wrong. Just plain wrong. This comment represents a complete misunderstanding of how black and white film, color film and digital image sensors work. It takes a whole hell of a lot more work to make a digital picture look good in black and white than just greyscaling it.
As a photographer, I can tell you that digital as it stands (with affordable cameras, not $20,000 rigs) has muddy contrast and when you're using an SLR like a Digital Rebel the clarity of the depth of field isn't anywhere near as good as it is on film.
For B&W specifcally, shooting in monochrome on a camera is just stupid. You can make half decent digital prints just by using curves and filters, so why throw out the color info when it could look beter in color?
it won't make it so your Windows apps magically run on OS X
No, the switch itself won't make Windows apps run on OSX, but for your average user WINE might seem kinda magical. If they can get and OSX version on WINE running where all you have to do is double click on an installer and *BOOM* all the software you already bought for Windows all of a sudden works, that might entice some more people to get Macs.
I intend to get an Intel Mac once the switch has trickled up the product line to the PowerMacs, but I'm not looking forward to re-buying Photoshop, Illustrator and all the other expensive apps I run daily. A working version of WINE will just make me buy faster.
Hell just froze over and he's building a ski resort in the 9th circle. Lift tickets will be free, as will all the food in the lodge and all the rooms in the hotel.
Just do what they did in my dorms. When a computer starts sending out ping floods, cut the connectivity to said computer's port. Notify the computer's owner and charge them $60 an hour to fix it. They'll learn mighty fast to obey the rules.
Eventually, that won't be an issue. Procs will run so fast and have such good power management that the only time you'll worry about cooling is the very second you tell the computer to do something. Then, in a huge explosion of activity that lasts a few microseconds, your computer will do everything you wanted it to and silmulaniously eject a molten wad of copper that used to be your heatsink. If you have liquid cooling, your head will explode.
i'd be willing to wait for a g5 powerbook, if i could get a dual-proc one..
Then you'd be able to cook away any reproductive potential you once had in less than 10 minutes!

I vote for Horny Hedgehog. Or Horny Hyrax. Anything Horny, really.
"The big question now is: how much worse can it get?" Wrong. The big question is what are we going to do to stop this. It's our government, dammit.

No, you don't get it. This thing has less funstionality than a watch, so it's sexier. Like an iPod.

They re-did the story and called it Halo.
They switched over to DHTML a while back after people comlained.

Help Computer.
How ironic that www.boingboint.net... I think you meant BoingBoinG.

If you hate it so much, why do you even read Slashdot? Why not give it the same treatment you give Verizon?

That's a lot of pie! Thanks, I'll be here all week.
Looks like they were running thier webserver off one of those cards. *rimshot*
