    Except for one big difference.

    If your program is too full of conflicts, or conflicts of too gross a nature, it doesn't run.

    In contrast, the more conflicts the law has, the more money the lawyers make. Even worse, those conflicts bestow even greater power on lawyers and lawmakers because only more lawsuits can referee the inherent oxymoronic ambiguity.

    "inherent oxymoronic ambiguity", that's the name of my new band.

    Sure, but if a little guy comes up with something great that competes with their IP, the larger companies will make sure he stays little or gone. Remember when Apple put the GEM O/S out of business? The makers of GEM were too small to fight the IP attack.

    If you read the article carefully it says: "The agency said the diplomatic source raised the possibility of a nuclear text blast..." Reports indicate that someone tried to spell check a huge document in Microsoft Word while simultaneously playing Doom III, leading to the nucleur text blast. :)
