6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me,
it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and
that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

This verse could be more a warning to be careful not to lead others to sin rather than it being about child abusers. Little ones would refer to His children, being those who believe in Christ.

Good point, i went to a forum to find some information about a videocard i was considering for my new system and all these posts were about how many shaders and pipelines they could open and how they could overclock it to get high 3dmarks.
It seemed all they were interested in was how fast they could make everything go, like that was the purpose of getting the card.

I do remember getting caught up in games when i was younger. First on games like Leisure Suit Larry and Elite, later on games like Quake and Betrayal at Krondor (i remember spending weeks of 12+ hours a day playing that game in my summer vacation).

Now i can't be bothered much to get into a good RTS or RPG, it just takes up too much effort and time. Even with the better FPS games that came out recently i'm just not getting that feeling of being caught up in a game.

The last time i saw a computer assembling itself into a complex shape it didn't need instructions to accomplish that. Gravity is pretty much all it took.

Not a single thing. Why should Longhorn be anything else but disappointing?

Well, for some consumers anyway. I stopped buying audio CD's a number of years ago, trying to show what i thought about the price/quality of CD's.
I haven't tried to purchase any music online yet but i will not buy any less than CD quality DRM files at high prices.
I mean if i can buy a full album cd package for a couple of bucks more than the DRM download version i would not even consider it a worthwile effort. It works for single tracks, but for people who want the whole album it doesn't make sense.

  25. Re:Mindset on Linux Can't Kill Windows · · Score: 1

I've grown up with DOS/Windows and got to know it well. I see the potential of Linux as a server or workstation even, but i just don't have the time (work & wife) to figure out how to make it all work like i do with Windows.

It takes me a couple of hours tops to install and configure a windows server or workstation. A Linux workstation is not so much a problem either but when i tried to get a server with a bunch of services i need (like ftp, http, stmp, pop, vpn, vnc, ssh etc) up and running, i just can't do it and feel 'secure' about it, even though all i usually hear about Linux is that's it's pretty secure out of the box. I'm sure if i would put my Linux install on the internet it'd become someone else's playground pretty soon.

Maybe some day i will lose my job and get some spare time to figure it out, but until that time i'll stick with Windows. (The little spare time i do have i prefer to play FPS games or make music, something Linux isn't really there yet anyway IMHO..)
