what are you talking about?, skyone aired all the rest of season 1 of atlantis before even 4-5 eps of the 2nd half aired in the US.
and canada's releasing sg-1 way early too.
reminds me of some CCNA classes i took.
the labs were complex enough to give me something to dig into, to learn.
when it came down to tests, cisco's at the time were horridly simple, and i just kinda procrastinated.
the same applies to linux. using it, i learn alot. on labs and tests for it...not so much.
article = dead on
I dont see people rioting over p2p laws...
its like this
"you killed napster! we'll make a better network now"
"you're trying to kill our better network! we'll start killing hostages now!"
ya know?
that "happened before" link just..reeks of propaganda.
their list of excuses people cheat and they shoot down are perfectly valid.
i never truly cheated, but plagarism? HELL YEAH i did that.
i also programmed my TI-83 to do geometry for me. but i had to understand it to code it..so i learned something i guess.
its not that i dont enjoy learning. its just that sitting around testing linux distro's one after another isnt learning unless something beyond the experience of it is teaching you anything..like an outside guide.
most distro's are poorly documented in a pragmatic sense.
i mean, im learning alot from using suse..and it gets alot of things "right". but linux has never exactly satisfied the "end-user" in me that grew up using windows.
picking ONE distro and rolling with it is the best way to LEARN.
but to USE, steam rolling them all without live-cd's is just..tedious and frivilous. you end up comparing apples and oranges to your end-userized needs and you get confused very quickly in most cases.
thats...not my idea of fun.
aka... say you start with mandrake..all nice and fluffy.
then you try suse.. all nice and fluffy again
then you try gentoo..and you spend 5 days straight simply installing it because you had no frelling clue.
(that plus the install times, especially of suse ftp)
you're pretty lucky they keep letting you RMA it.
thats a loss on their end. to give you SERVICE.
in most markets, service > compatability, since service can help fix SOME compatability issues.
just so you know, nvidia has linux drivers on their webpage.
and they're FAR better than ati at doing linux drivers, for now.
ati's excuse is that there is not enough demand to put much effort into it
is it just me, or do they need to drop the name.
i know it probably sounds nifty as an acronym to PR...but come ON..we dont even use telegraphs anymore.
just drop the last T i guess.
but "AT" doesnt exactly have a nice corporate sound.. but at least it doesnt sound 100 years old.
no, actually, the ipod browses its own little small database, which had ID3 data imported into it.
i think thats how it works anyway. either way, it doesnt go file by file. it has a database itunes creates on it.
you havnt read the bible till you've read it translated to japanese and back to english via babelfish.
it means you agree to not disclose. disclose - to reveal hope that clears up your confusion ;)
spoilers? what spoilers? i've already seen the entire 1st season. on topic: this is very very cool. :)
pity international calling is so expensive. anonymous internet would be a huge commodity.
Because who in their RIGHT MIND will rtfa before making a stupid post about how stupid the bill is... it boggles ze mind!
;)
i know i sure havnt!
well still, you gotta feel some pity for whatever lifeform died in that area. (hey, its POSSIBLE) ;)

no. everything has flaws. there are no promises made, and they clause themselves out of personal responsibility 99% of the time.
thats why he can do it through an anonymous proxy i dont think slashdot logs IP of ac's

'Linux is not ready for mission-critical computing.' neither is windows...
dont tell intel, i want to see them try to market that in turkey :)
i already get free weather reports on my xbox via xbmc. weather.com also has free weather. i dont see what the deal is. /doesnt pay taxes/
