    Nah, just a typical kid.

    I think most people have to go through a phase of internet addiction to learn how much it sucks--and I classify being clued to a smartphone in that category.

    Probably no need to lie.  Do what I do--this is 1990's tech but it still works great.  Make a section of your resume where you state what you *want* to do--and do it in white on white.

    Yes, seriously.  It will get you past the automated filters so that you can at least get rejected by a human.

    And once you're in the system, maybe you can fix it....

    Before you get too high on non-lethal weapons, please consider the taser.  The problem with non-lethal weapons is that the users know this, and are thereupon much more likely to actually use them.  And obviously, they don't just use them when they really need them.

    Non-lethal to my mind equals "let's use physical force to control people more often".

  17. Good news, I was getting depressed about GG on Torque 3D To Be Released On Github Under the MIT License · · Score: 1

    I am a longtime Torque user (see my free game http://www.singularityfps.com) and I must say it is the best prototyping tool out there, at minimum.  But in recent years the inexpensive licenses did not include source, which is essential if you're really serious about making a game.

    And that was a big deal because the community on the GG forums are one of the biggest benefits to using the engine.

    I am well pleased by this move.

    I think the solution is to expand fair use to include all non-commercial copying, which is what I blog about :-)

    I think the only decent solution is to expand fair use rights to cover all non-commercial use.

    If nothing else, that would reduce the target profile only to those who actually use copyrighted material to make money without authorization, which I think most people feel is innately wrong.

    I don't think that's sufficient.  People must be free to transfer data as they please.  Expand fair use to cover all non-commercial use and I'd be happy.
