Sorry, as my sig tells about me, my job is more writing phone services for the voices of the french "Spitting Images" http://www.canalplus.fr/pid20.htm than technical !
"Illisible" : "illegible" (thanks to babelfish and D.Adams), cannot be read and/or understood, or written by ink-painted-flies instead of a goose pluck
Lisibility : able to be readable with ease (idem)
Think about how you wrote when you were 3 and 20 years old. I hope you will now undestand what I mean.
Or rewrite AA-XFT or just get back without XFT !

This is going worst as Deer Park won't accept GTK without XFT. It's too slow, too ugly, too illisible and... http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=1510 011... people in forums have just bogus responses like "upgrade upgrade upgrade". They don't want to understand that anti-aliased fonts are completely bogus in normal sizes. Raster fonts are better at "small" sizes, they matches exactly what it should look at, how the artist think it.
When I look at vector fonts with or without AA, I just believe that my mobile phone has BETTER LISIBILITY that my pc... it's... irrationnal !
If Qt/GTK could have an option "prefer raster that vector", I will be soooooooooo happy.
This is also impacting speed and comfort.
In fact, he is xcustomer at Free (a french ISP) as I, and this one gave to every ADSL subscriber a Linux modem called "Freebox" that permits IP/Telephony/TVoADSL.... but Free is promoting for monthes about a mysterious "Armageddon". Last rumours wants that "Aramgeddon" stand for sending video from the pc to the tv via Freebox's SCART plug.
As every Free subscriber, he was too impatient, so he looked at his ATI spare card, an unuseful DVB-T receptor and...
The Beeb has a "royal chart" about its independance with the government. One day I saw Tony Blair in a not consensual interview about Irak. Wow. I wish have independant public service in France (as I suppose Spain and Italy...), but instead, I do my part-time on independant associative radios http://cnra.asso.fr/> where I teach new animators what is pleasure to make good show with independent toughts.
Very very very very huge. BBC has a enormous audience in UK, as every national public television service in Europe (France, where I live, is one of the rare exception as a private channel has better audience instead of a public channel)
And BBC World is really famous and really more respected than, let's say CNN international or Faux News.
Yep. And as we say in French: "Et demain, les poules auront des dents" ("Tomorrow, chicken will have teeth").
Who can believe a blogger ? At Microsoft ? You know, people who said before that Longhorn WILL have WinFS, Avalon, etc...
Yes. Themes from other news channels are rather more catastrophic in "Hollywood drama" style : Trumpets, drums, violins... CNN int, Euronews, Sky News are more frightening...
What I think is well don in their music, is the "coming next" where presentators can speak while being audible. As a radio producer, I can tell you this is not so easy to find out. (ok, i blogged this here http://dascritch.net/blog.php/2005/05/29/146-remix ez-moi-ces-news>
(sorry for incomplete precedent post)
I mean we pay charges toà the SCPP (Société Civile des Producteurs de Phonogrammes, union of musical records) for each virgin support. Each one , from disquettes to DVD-RW. So legally, they are already having dommages by law for personnal duplication and tolered copies to friends.
And also , we say Vive la France ! except if you want to pousser des vivas
(Proud to be French, country of Freedom and not militarized peace)
Personnal use in the French Law means in the family circle or friends. Typically, it means a presentation in a private room, without paying fees.
It also means that i have the right to copy my cds on my personnal computer, on my hard-disc music player, on my professionnal computers and burn a cd for the player in my car. We also pay charges.
The recognition software, song database,... is in "white name" (ie under different brands), but the company that created that and has IP about it is Yacast.

Bush's Administration will make a special law to be exempted in the name of National Security.
I'm watching "hardly" the Big Brother programme, and haven't seen any crime to this time.
The problem is : all these CCTV are really preventing crime, or too much data is just irrevelant data ?
Must not be former-astronaut senator anymore
As said Linus : Smoking Crack Officially . No a good business practice, imho
And gazillions of lines of code from Mozilla, from Eudora, perhaps from MiliMail etc.... That's a lot of leverage !
In France, Protected "CD audio" were supposed to be indicated on the package. Funny to see the usage of big square tag price in music retailers...
Too French for being sure, but "using" this kind of bug can be a criminal act under DMCA. Mhh ?
