    The problem is : all these CCTV are really preventing crime, or too much data is just irrevelant data ?

    Sorry, as my sig tells about me, my job is more writing phone services for the voices of the french "Spitting Images" http://www.canalplus.fr/pid20.htm than technical !

    "Illisible" : "illegible" (thanks to babelfish and D.Adams), cannot be read and/or understood, or written by ink-painted-flies instead of a goose pluck

    Lisibility : able to be readable with ease (idem)

    Think about how you wrote when you were 3 and 20 years old. I hope you will now undestand what I mean.

    This is going worst as Deer Park won't accept GTK without XFT. It's too slow, too ugly, too illisible and ... http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=1510 011 ... people in forums have just bogus responses like "upgrade upgrade upgrade". They don't want to understand that anti-aliased fonts are completely bogus in normal sizes. Raster fonts are better at "small" sizes, they matches exactly what it should look at, how the artist think it. When I look at vector fonts with or without AA, I just believe that my mobile phone has BETTER LISIBILITY that my pc... it's... irrationnal ! If Qt/GTK could have an option "prefer raster that vector", I will be soooooooooo happy. This is also impacting speed and comfort.

    The Beeb has a "royal chart" about its independance with the government. One day I saw Tony Blair in a not consensual interview about Irak. Wow. I wish have independant public service in France (as I suppose Spain and Italy...), but instead, I do my part-time on independant associative radios http://cnra.asso.fr/> where I teach new animators what is pleasure to make good show with independent toughts.

    Very very very very huge. BBC has a enormous audience in UK, as every national public television service in Europe (France, where I live, is one of the rare exception as a private channel has better audience instead of a public channel) And BBC World is really famous and really more respected than, let's say CNN international or Faux News.

    Yes. Themes from other news channels are rather more catastrophic in "Hollywood drama" style : Trumpets, drums, violins... CNN int, Euronews, Sky News are more frightening...

    What I think is well don in their music, is the "coming next" where presentators can speak while being audible. As a radio producer, I can tell you this is not so easy to find out. (ok, i blogged this here http://dascritch.net/blog.php/2005/05/29/146-remix ez-moi-ces-news>

    (sorry for incomplete precedent post) I mean we pay charges toà the SCPP (Société Civile des Producteurs de Phonogrammes, union of musical records) for each virgin support. Each one , from disquettes to DVD-RW. So legally, they are already having dommages by law for personnal duplication and tolered copies to friends. And also , we say Vive la France ! except if you want to pousser des vivas

    (Proud to be French, country of Freedom and not militarized peace)

    Personnal use in the French Law means in the family circle or friends. Typically, it means a presentation in a private room, without paying fees.

    It also means that i have the right to copy my cds on my personnal computer, on my hard-disc music player, on my professionnal computers and burn a cd for the player in my car. We also pay charges.

    The recognition software, song database, ... is in "white name" (ie under different brands), but the company that created that and has IP about it is Yacast.
