in fact, last month ABC showed saving private ryan uncut/unedited in most regions. my friends living an hour away saw it, though the detroit affiliate, and many others, cowed to the pressure of this group.
that evening, i heard a story about it all things considered in which they interviewed a rep. from this organization. he outright stated that they put this link on their site for that reason and that there were thousands of member waiting to click it and complain as soon as the show was aired.
this is easily one of the greatest open source projects ever. easy setup, incredible documentation, insanely stable....the only time i've had to shut the box down was to add a dvd drive. if you add the extra components, you get a dvd player, an ok mp3 player, weather, news feeds a total media package.
i bought a brick house--near detroit--last year and had the same problem with at&t. ever since this merger began, whenever my phone is piciking up cingular, i get 2-3 bars in the basement.
i bought an athlon 2400+ a couple of months ago to use as a mythtv box. after rebates, the memory was $15, the hard drive was $40, the case was $40 and the motherboard & chip were -$10.

i dumped about a half a pint of pale ale over my thinkpad about a month ago--me, wife, and dog in a small room trying to unpack a large fouton frame. i have to give it to ibm, the keyboard basically works as a spill tray and hardly any beer made it through to the system board. at any rate 10.52 on ebay got me a replacement keyboard and a little isopropanol and it's back from the dead.

as a one-upper, i dumped a pint of pale ale on my t22. took the battery out, replaced the keyboard for $10.50 on ebay and it works great.
