This is the case in sweden too, if you sue someone and loose you'll have to pay the defendants legal fees. Which is pretty nice because it really cuts down on suing in general.

This is basicly what was done, all those internet friends these people had was suddenly ripped away from them. Considering the fact that they might not have had the phonenumbers to these friends in various countries around the world, they had no way of contacting them. Also their hobby was probably something like online gaming so that was ripped away too.

I used to be this way online, but when it started having a negative effect on my life, studies in particular. I cut down on my internet use a lot, however there was no real withdrawal effect because I did it by my own choise and I still could go online and chat whenever I felt like it. It would still suck to be without internet because I do have a lot of friends online.

Anyway if they still have the choise to go online the feeling of being disconnected wouldn't be so bad.

Lots of companies are putting lots of effort into developing these batteries. First cars that will see these batteries are probably cars that get used by companies in several cycles / day and stand in a garage in the night.

Like the postal companies cars, and other delivery vehicles for the local area.

Also vehicles that need lots of power will get hybrids. Diesel engine + electrical engine, that combo is MAD torque.

The thing is, schools are starting to realize they don't "need" new computers for what they are teaching. Unless they are having classes that require lots of computing power. Most school computers get used for, writing papers, surfing the net, learning basic computing and in some cases a bit of programming. Universities and colleges are another matter though.

As far as I'm concerned it's a good thing the money can be used in other areas.
