*political rant*
An administration that has lied so many times it doesn't even know the truth, doesn't need security.
Seriously though most of the leading edge work on cyber security and detection is being done by the gov't or under gov't supervision.
You are wrong frogbreath!
AYYYYOOOH!
Because when these people got these appliances home, there was only one thing stopping them from downloading other browsers or even loading other operating systems, the ignorance of the existance of these alternatives.
Actually, you're right because the casual PC user when asked which browser they use answers "The internet" or "the blue 'e' thing"
"Internet Explorer will continue its chokehold on the World Wide Web. "
Only if a better alternative is not adopted as the 'browser of choice' by the WWW community. Go FireFox!
Billy - "We don't have enough people to fix all the bugs in all our products. What can we do?"
Well if our corporate customers complain then,
hire a city in China to handle all products other than XP.
A new dawn. Now modders can do more Apple clones.

Case modders have primarily focused on intel style PC's.. Now that components are more available and the prices, we hope, will come down, then more builders can opt for Apple rigs. Viva la choice.
On one hand he has shown some talent and expertise, but on the other hand he has shown that he has a malicious side. I don't think I would be able to trust him even if I could respect his ability.
Has anyone ever documented how much spammers contribute to politicians campaigns? They certainly have been effective in keeping significant legislation from being passed and significant enforcement from taking place.
That would be correct for telecom folks but just to be more accurate, in computer related terms 1 GB is 1,073,741,824 bytes (1028**3). Interesting to see coolness collide with functionality. $330 ouch.
Sure the timer chip is cheap, but the camera plus GPS device make it an expensive toy. If you can get it up high enough how do you filter out the UV/haze. My kites always crash anyway.
I don't see how this is going to keep people from hacking Cisco products. The only difference here is the code was "published". From what I have been told the code has been available in the "warez" community for years.
We know the service packs have introduced more bugs and exploitable holes, but could it be there are better hacking/virus creation tools out there? Where are the creative solutions to this problem?
At the same time it occurs to me that this helps McAfee and Norton sell more software.
Get AVG http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/
If life on earth evolved from anaerobic heterotrophes, which did not necessarily need water, then why not on Mars? There are still microbes who live in volcanic vents that thrive on hydrogen sulfide. They can live in or out of water, but do not need it to live.
Actually, solid-state does not equivocate to "digital". Tubes did produce a slightly "warmer" sound. Audiophiles have for years advocated the old analog vinyl and tape technology over digital CD or DVD for the quality of sound. Of course, mp3's and other compressed digital media are even poorer quality. Humans are predominantly analog (except for politicians).
I tried to post this story 2 days ago. This is an existing flaw in XP which was made worse by SP2. The article has a fix for the problem. Would that be considered malicious or someone trying to correct a problem? If that is malicious, then everything McAfee or Norton does is malicious.
Just because the company was bought by Semantac doesn'y mean they "sold-out". @Stake was not a non-profit public service organization. These people will keep on exposing the flaws in commercial product and will probably fix most of them which benefits most of us in the long run.

I too have to use IE to connect to my companies web portal. They claim they don't have time to support multiple browsers.

but you still can't buy these anywhere. There have been reviews of these cards for almost a month, but they are not available at any retailers.
So do you stuff socks in it to make it look bigger?
would be that after a certain time period, the artists get 100% of the royalties. I'm sure these companies would be so happy with that.

Or it could be "Bug-eye for the Microsoft guy"

Hey it was early in the morning, give me a break. Strange that a word nazi would criticise others as being like politicians. 8^O
Actually the word would be "most".

What does this have to do with what /. is about?
Spamming pays better than crime?
