Have fun using your crosshairs to aim on a TWO screen monitor. Or driving down a race track. Or swinging at a fastball. Or playing any other game that requires you to be able to look straight ahead.
You cannot play Farmville on a Kindle. You cannot watch YouTube on a Kindle. You cannot, in fact, do anything bandwidth-related besides basic web-browsing on a Kindle, and even then the first two generations of the Kindle didn't have WiFi adapters. And have you ever tried to browse the web with a Kindle? The screen-refresh on those limits it to mostly dire situations (ie, phone is dead and need to get in contact with someone so I'll try emailing them). If they were banning laptops, that's one thing. But here they are (admittedly allegedly since I don't live in NYC and the writer didn't name names), banning Kindles. The "loitering" defense makes no sense when they're not banning books or newspapers. If I had the money and the time, I'd stake out a spot in front of these cafes that were claiming to ban ereaders because of loitering and hand out free NYT bestsellers to their patrons. If there was a cafe that banned books and newspapers as well, then fine (and it'd be all over the web I'd think), they're being consistent. But banning ereaders seems like a real Luddite move here.
Do you have access to a landline? Because you can set the account settings to call you via a backup number and have the code read out to you. Or you can print out some backup codes and keep them in your wallet if you choose to do so. Not only that, you have to option to not have to enter a new verification code for 30 days, just your password, so if you brought your laptop along with you, you could have enabled the 30 day grace period. Then, when you go someplace and realize that you do in fact get reception, turn the 30day off. You can even generate a ton of one-time codes for use on public computers! And once you generate the code and copy it down somewhere, you can hide it - and the code can't be retrieved from your account again! And you can revoke them at any time! And if this isn't enough choice for you - you can simply not opt-in. That's right, this is entirely opt-in.
1) Get a Virgin Mobile MiFi from Walmart. Buy 1GB for $20 top-up cards (only available at Walmart). THEN 2a) Buy new or used iOS smartphone off of contract capable of running Talkatone app, which provides VoIP via GMail which has free US phone calls. 3a) Install Talkatone app. 4) Done. === 2b) Buy any Android or iOS smartphone off of contract capable of later versions of Skype which allow cellular VoIP. 3b) Install Skype with Pay as you Go option. 4) Done.
If your Sprint phone is an Android phone, you don't need cell access because it's done via a self-contained app that functions like the SecureID tokens. Not a smartphone? Did you have access to a landline? Because you can set the account settings to call you via a backup number (pehaps a landline; I hope you had landlines there in that little Nebraskan town) and have the code read out to you. Or you can print out some backup codes and keep them in your wallet if you choose to do so. False. A considerable number of them were Deists, meaning that they accepted a supreme being - God, Allah, FSM, what have you - but not organized religion.
You use homebrew ROMs if you're stuck with a provider like Verizon. Me? I've been using the Internet Sharing feature built into Windows Mobile for a long time now. No need to homebrew, just open up the program and select Connect. Done.
If you've been "forced" into a crowded situation, even if you think you're somehow superior than all these other sheeple around you, this sort of research can help save YOUR life. How? A quick, orderly evacuation means YOU get out quicker as well, and diminished the likelihood of you getting pushed over and trampled upon.
FTFA "Windows 7 feels faster than Windows XP and Vista, but it turns out that's not always the case -- sometimes, it's the slowest of the three operating systems."
Good job at taking things out of context. And as any UX designer will tell you, it doesn't matter if it *is* faster if it doesn't *feel* faster.
Whether or not you or I can vLite a copy of Vista or grab an optimized image off of bittorrent isn't the point of this. It's an out-of-the-box test of the computing experience that your typical I-don't-give-a-shit-about-how-this-thing-works-just-let-me-watch-YouTube user will get.
Are you suggesting that a group that isn't more than half democrats inherently unbiased? As in, any group that was composed of more than half Independents and Republicans?
But you have to wonder, if a carrier were to have terrible coverage in the city, would it be reasonable to expect that the in-between stuff is horrible as well?
For sale at Dynamism.com, and has been for the past month; I don't know how you got the silly idea that it was "To Be Released". It satisfies all of your criteria, which is pretty awesome considering that it weighs less than a pound. Yes, I own one. A 7" screen version goes on sale this week, weighs a bit more than a pound. Both are priced at $599.
Excuse me? Death to California? Have you been to any place besides Los Angeles? Like, I don't know, Eureka? Or even San Francisco? How about Berkeley, where there's plenty (the less charitable would say too many) of folks who think like you do? I can't remember the last time I saw a house around here with A/C, much less one that was installed when the place was built.
"So, Hispanics and Asian-Americans used only non-racial criteria in selecting a candidate."
Are you kidding me? Speaking as a Chinese-American, I have a couple family members whose votes were influenced (both positively and negatively) by the fact that he was black. What, you think other minorities aren't racist as well?
Companies are rarely if ever focused on the long term, especially in the case of publically-owned companies, whose shareholders tend to demand short-term profits. Are you suggesting that any individual or group of individuals would have been willing to foot the bill for something like this fifty years ago?

When transferring files between SATA hard drives on my desktop I usually get around 90 MB/s. I suspect it's your devices that are the problem.
They'd just claim that the team who made it to the Moon was in cahoots with the government.
Symbian will still be used for low-end phones for the time being.
The problem is now they seem to usually err on the side of the buyer, leading to sellers getting ripped off.

Guess you didn't think of that, huh?

Then how about this: sell it in the App Store *and* Cydia?

Hrm... Carmina Burana has some repetitive beats. ...that'd be an interesting rave, wouldn't it?
Yes it would... if any of those events were actually in Sowton, Devon, UK.

If it's in a compact enough area, only a handful of towers would be enough to cover it all, ie a good profit to tower ratio.

Will they conquer inferior spelling and grammar as well?
