I actually think it's a misinterpretation of the original article.
It states "Can't copy ISO to harddrive", not ISOs, and I believe that ISO in this instance might mean the ISO of the Vista Disk.
Just my take on it.
I wonder how long it will take until people will be able to make devices to scan people going out with chips, duplicate those chips' RFIDs, make fake chips with legit RFIDs(possibly through a system where you carry around ready made chips you just load with a new RFID), and cash in other people's winnings?
Now, I have no experience with this RFID technology... but if that system is entirely dependant on the RFID chips, and no other form of identification... chip duplication might become a problem(which could get the legit owners of the chips accused for making fake chips)...
Again, if it is even possible(which, I suspect, it will become some day... as with most technology)
Isn't this about HARDware? As in, not SOFTware, which it seems you're talking about.
Unless the Gentoo team made some crazy tool that updates your hardware automagically through the internet at no cost.
I'm not a gamer, I'm not a graphics editor. What I do on the computer rarely pressurizes my computer so much that I have to update often. Thus, I update my computer whenever I start noticing slowdowns and bottlenecks in my system. My last update was over a year ago, I'd think, I'm still going good and don't think I'll be updating any time in the near future.
I never saw what was so "cool" about wasting all your money on bleeding-edge CPUs, RAM, and such, and the spending even more money overclocking it to the max. I have no need for it, I stick to what I need, easy as that.
I can see the gamer wanting to be a it ahead, but taking it to the extreme like that is kinda useless. It just wastes extreme amounts of money on just getting those few extra 5FPSs that you probably won't need anyway. I can understand wanting to stay ahead, but there's no need to stay WAY too ahead way too often.
In short: I upgrade when my system feels like it's being dominated and spanked by all teh software I run.
Some news stories have suggested that Google intends to keep copies of users' email messages even after they've deleted them, or closed their accounts. This is simply not true. Google keeps multiple backup copies of users' emails so that we can recover messages and restore accounts in case of errors or system failure. Even if a message has been deleted or an account is no longer active, messages may remain on our backup systems for some period of time. This is standard practice in the email industry, which Gmail and other major webmail services follow in order to provide a reliable service for users. We will make reasonable efforts to remove deleted information from our systems as quickly as is practical.
Oh, the conspiracy.
I, personally, doubt that they will, then again, I've been a bit too trusting in some cases. I still see no reason to be so paranoid about google keeping your email address. I'm guessing the invite system is so they can keep control over how many people are using their service while it's still in beta, so they don't overflow the servers while the software is still buggy and possibly slower than they want it to be. That is a GUESS, I don't know for sure.
I mean, microsoft has a lot of mail addresses under their wing, so does yahoo, and other free webmail services. Google is a big-shot company, like MS and Yahoo, if it does get out that they're selling addresses to spammers, I think something would happen. Imagine what would happen if MS did it right now. It would be a big uproar and people would flee from hotmail to other services.
My personal thought is that they simply can't afford the risk of getting caught doing it, it's much easier to spot/getting framed for than secret tracking of your every move, which seems to be the general complaint..
I haven't gotten a new handheld console since the GBA came out, so I'll be skipping the SP and moving right to DS.
What tickles my fancy is the dual screen setup, the better graphics, the wireless connectivity, the touchscreen and the standard backlight(finally!).
Also, of course, all those games that will come out for DS that you won't be able to play on an SP/GBA. If you get a DS you can play all the nifty DS games that will most likely come out, while still retaining the ability to play that nifty GBA game that you might want without any major setbacks(unless you're a multiplayer whore:P). Not so if you stick to the SP/GBA.
These are my reasons only, though.
That's called Hard-Drive space/RAM/ROM/whatever you store the ones and zeros on.
Technically, saving something IS a way to memorize it, if you bend the definitions slightly. By slightly, I mean a lot.
Err.... Bungie is doing both Halo games, what the spork are you talking about? XD
Or are you talking somewhere along the lines of that the person doing the Halo story isn't doing the Halo 2 one? Because that would be understandable to some extent.
I don't own an XBOX, but I still think Halo 2 will be pretty good.

Lemme guess, you've modded them so they're portable?:P
DS sounds like a good buy for a person looking to get a good Handheld and only has a GBA(i.e me:P)
What's the connection?
Lately I've been seeing the word "cockroach" and the word "robot" used together in a few articles...
What is the deal with that?:P
Is it because if they use cockroaches not many people will yell at them for animal cruelty, because cockroaches are "evil"?
If we follow along this trail, we'll be able to predict the weather almost instantly with good precision... but there'll always be the "random factor" that nature always feels like putting in our way.:P
I don't think we will ever be able to predict the weather perfectly, without any errors, but I do believe we can get close.
It's not/down/, it's just slow to get a connection to.:P
At least, that's the case for me, the site downloads quickly, but it takes some time to make the connection...
(That is the case NOW, I fear for it later:P)
And the site is already/.ed?
It's going mighty slow in any case!
Ooo, it's only one CD too, I might just download and test it on my to-arrive machine.:D
Yeah, I know that. and that was a 0(zero), not an O(Capital o)
Although I do remember reading somewhere on a mozilla site something about "Despite what mathematics have taught you, 0.10 is higher than 0.9", in regard to the new release. They called it Preview Release 0.10, I think, and it kinda stuck with me for some reason.
...
Actually, I just kinda managed to mix and match the two names. I got it from the headline on http://texturizer.net/firefox/(Mozilla Firefox 0.10 (1.0 Preview Release) Released) and managed to get it mixed up, sorry.:P
*bows*
Thanks for getting my mind straight:)
Thank god I keep at the "bleeding edge" of software, I updated FF as soon as PR0.10 came out.
This reminds me, I should update the other computers in the house too... I installed FF and TB on them the day before the new versions were out:/
I guess he chose it for the ending, or maybe because he is swedish, but it's the swedish version of Google.
*.se == Swedish.
Just incase you didn't know.;P

Guys guys, Mozilla firefox != Mozilla suite.
At least, that is what I am being told all the time.

Yes, AOL has an independent client for AIM.
Available at http://www.aim.com/, among others.

Shame on you! [/Old Mother]

My friends who use iTunes may be happy to hear about this. :D
Sounds like a neat piece of software
...looks interesting, albeit I don't really use GNOME... :P
I'll stick to fluxbox until I get a better alternative.
Maybe this is the new era of nostalgy fans?
They take old, nostalgic objects, and combine them with new technology to make the ULTIMATE ANTIQUE!
