I used to have a Samsung 1 gig flash. I really liked it. It used 1 AAA bat and ran for 40ish hours. It also had a pretty good radio tuner.... but then the Nano came out... I will admit that I bought it on impulse (mostly because of the 4 gig cap.) and sold my Samsung... I wish i had it back. The nano scraches easily and the battery life sucks. The sound is the same to my ears so im not loosing any more or less hearing now.
I guess my point is, Ipod's are great for non-tech types that just need a basic service. For everyone else... there are better players out there.
I thought IE has had tabs all this time. As a firefox user I havent been around IE that much lately but i could have swrorn they where already doing this.
This makes me sad. We now have so much equipment over there doing all this great stuff and no people. I wish there could be another space race. (without the threat of nukes.)
If the stats are any where near correct, the kids will go somewhere else. This will be the end of myspace as adults will just follow them to the next "hip" site.
While i agree with your statement... My ps2 has a lot of problems over the years (DRE's/Overheating) My Dreamcast fell apart a month after i got it. My x-box hasnt had too many issues but is pretty darn hot. I had to turn my ps1 on its top to get it workign after the second year. Conversly, Other than the fact that my NES (21 years old now) needs to be "blown" to get it to work, all of my Nintendo consols are in great shape. So while no one can prove that the Wii will work or not... Its a safe bet.
peace.
I hope no one already touched on this. (Im late to the party hear and only had time to read about half.
anyhoo. I own two of the grand theft auto games and you "can" play them without killing people. (It wouldnt be fun and the story would not progress very far.) No one forces us (humans) to kill hundreds of people in this game! In court, this argument alone should be enough to stop a lawsuit not even taking into account all of the other comments here!
peace.
I saw this at the last Star Trek convention (In vegas) they would let anyone sit and play at their booth. it was really fun... and the booth babes where hot!
I completely disagree with this line of logic. Not to sound elitist, but I was more intelligent than most of the idiot, football obsessed jackasses running around my college. I earned a masters in 4 years because I wanted to get out of there. I find that most children, (yes children) in college these days don't need or deserve to be there and are wasting my time and tuition money. So what if the kid wants to be a lawyer. Let him be. He may be capable of critical thinking without the benefit of getting drunk every night at the football game./soapbox
The Music industry and the RIAA have been ripping us off for years. This is not new news. But I will continue to buy CDs (or whatever the current medium is) for two reasons. 1.) I like having the cover art and liner notes! I want to know who wrote the song and I like to read the lyrics. 2.) I only buy the entire album if I like the entire album. There are maybe ten bands that I know will produce a great disc every time and I want to own their vision. Their art.
Frankly Im surprised Apple hasnt already started a PDA product line. It seems like everywhere I go, I see Ipods or Palms. Whats taking Apple so long to get in?
Im not saying that we should boycott everything. I too listen to lots of different kinds of music. Some of it (i assume) is made by sony. My point is, that if the government doesnt step in and the consumers are not willing to put out the money for lawyers, the only other option is too stop buying the product that causes the issue. If apple farmers injected their product with something that makes you sick you would simply stop buying apples from that company.
p.s. stop flaming. Im not a child. (although i apologize for the lack of gramar and punctuation in my first post.)
just stop buying music until sony stops. better yet, stop buying music until the industry puts out something worth buying. i really dont see the issue here. yes sony is breaking the law and nothing is going to be done about it. but that LIFE. stop being a consumer and the problem will go away.
i guess either im no longer a geek (w00t!) or im a bigger geek than i thought. (sigh.) ive only read two or three books on that list and im a "reader."
I was more than a little interested in the 360 (i never owned the x-box) until i was talking to a friend at a local best buy who said that they have had two units break. im sure that the customers has something to do with this. these units where also demo units. i am currently thinking that ill wait to see what happens a few months after launch before buying one.
sorry to go OT.
I dont think that 32 cents an episode for a good t.v. show is too much to ask. Is it expensive? Yes! Is this better than watching the garbage on today? Yes!!
!!Golly Geepers!!
Here in the states the government has decided that its okay for kids to murder, steal, and cuss every third word but its not okay to see any sexual content. is it not ironic that americas youth are violent? They are sex starved desensitized to violence thugs! (im getting old)
---gets off soapbox---
This thing is too small. My samsung 1 gig is tiny, but nothing compaired to this. Have pant makers started making pockets smaller? Why would you need something this small.
p.s. they still have not fixed the battery issues! i expected that "big announcement" from apple to be a removable lithium ion..... not happy.
The price for this is higher than buying the shows that you would want to record anyway. the artical used the Simpsons as an example, all of the DVD box set will only cost approx $400. Do you realise how long it would take to see any profit from this? (hint: by then better/cheaper stuff will be around)

mabey google should change their slogan from "do no evil" to "do less evil and tattle on everyone else when we get in trouble."

Is this what Bush meant when he was talking about animal human hybrids in the state of the union addess?
