$499 for a Mac is virtually no money at all. Its the amount of money i make scratching my ass for about 20 hours in the local supermarket:). Now prices in Denmark is a wee bit higher, but i already ordered a n Apple Mini from the Danish store. I cant wait to receive it, my first Apple machine in a loong time. Been drooling over my Mates OS X for just about since they got them. Ohh its christmas all over again.

Same with terrorism, it sucks. But the politicians should stop banning random stuff out of fear - i want people to start using their brains, for once. In the US they already slashed constitutional rights, and want me to give my fingerprints and digital foto when i travel into US. Forget it!
Too bad the US has influence on the world - the EU is aching to introduce similar laws, what country can i migrate too now?:)

Isent indecency regulations unconstitutional? It sounds alot like censorship to me, something that is constitutionally banned in Denmark. We may not censor anything for whatever reason, i though America had similar laws. But now that i think of it, i remember all the "bleeps" in imported shows from America, i think indencency laws are oretty dumb, because who has the right to determine what is decent and what is not?

once caught with those fake degrees, will they ever get a job again? I wonder - what makes people so desperate/lazy/poor to get a college degree that they'd rather take the chance and get a fake one?
Now wheres my visa..

Seymour Roger Cray (September 28, 1925 - October 5, 1996) was a supercomputer architect who founded the company Cray Research. For about 30 years, the short answer to the question "What company makes the fastest computer?" was "Wherever Seymour Cray is working now."
Beer might be an acquired taste. But please, do not brew a beer like this, id hate to see a new generation grow up thinking beer is like this. You can probably guess from my nick i appreciate a good, and often homebrewn, beer. It has taken me many years to taste my way through just a small portion of the beer spectrum, and its very enjoyable. But its not commercially viable to brew to so many tastes, so the big breweries just brew some variation of the Pilsner og light lager. Very booring, no wonder young people would rather have a Smirnoff Ice. But how about a good Brown Ale? Or IPA, or a well served Belgian Wit, like Hoegaarden? That beats anything, anyday, anytime:).
Heres hopeing that the next generation still drinks beer!
We use Exchange here at college. Works fine in Firefox, not was functional as in Internet Explorer, however as i dont use windows, thats not an option. I can read and post email just fine, and browse my contacts, calendar etc.
On another note, Evolution + Exchange Connector works just fine - needed a 30 minute tuning, and you need to know the GC. And it works fine. We're looking to migrate the Exchange server to something else, either Open-Xchange or some other groupware, as the only windows server thats left is the Exchange server, which is ridiculous as we run a VMWare ontop of Linux just to run exchange. Seems like waste of CPU to me - the server also runs a couple other linux server instances, i think the VMware version is GSX, GLX or smth. like that, kinda cool software when you think about it.

Well the NVIDIA driver installer does build a module that matches your kernel. I run Debian, and i had to apt-get the kernel source and headers, not a terrible task to do, but should not be necessary to do, just to get the newest driver. I dident say the kernel need recompilation. And you need to modify the XF86Config-4 file from "nv" to "nvidia" in the driver section and thats about it. 30 seconds is about the time yes, but only after i got the kernel headers and source, some 30-40 mbs of source, not that it matters on 10mbit, but for dialups, that would kinda suck i guess:).

The situation right now is quite frustrating - all distributions should be able to ship the binary drivers for the vendor kernel. It would make it so much easier, than having to get the kernel source and headers before building the module on your own. Thats an unneccesary burden only placed on our shoulders because of some paperwork.
2nd, id like some better drivers please, the ATI drivers are terrible, please stop treating me as a second rank costumer. My money is as good as anybody elses. Thanks so far NVIDIA, now we just need a better license.
Please, what happened? Whats this obsession with monitoring these days? When i was a baby, there were no baby alarms or no cameras (?!?). Please do not monitor your babies with cameras feeding a stream over the internet for the love of all that is sacred. The idea alone makes me sick.
It will not make you more safe, it will make you more nervous. Get a good babysitter you can trust, and go out, relax. You need it from time to time, after having a baby. Dont keep yourself at a constant level of stress monitoring your child 24/7. Whats next? Giving your baby a GPS tag? RFID chip?
Its all an excuse nowadays. Just bring up your child like you was. You turned out alright i suppose?

The news that extremophiles can survive outher space is veery old. The little bugger called Tardigrada is pretty hard to kill :).
They lessened democracy right after the terrorist attack of their school.
The US lessened democracy right after 9/11 - VISITUS + PATRIOT Act anyone?
They regarded the Ukraine as problematic, and instead went to have military operations with China.
The US regarded Iraq as problematic and went into military operations with total disregard to international conventions and treatires.
Russia, the west isn't your enemy.
USA - The world is NOT your enemy!

Sure we can - we the rich have weapons. Do you expect the poor and hungry to what? Beat us with a stick?
The poor countries will always be our slaves, unless we seriously change our ways. No one in this world need to starve - its just politics.
Im not in the list, i can sing and i can also make sex videos of myself and leak it onto the internet. I wonder what their competitive edge is, hmm..
