As to the screen on the Eee. It's small. I wish it was a bit bigger but at the price the Eee is available at I'm more then happy to put up with it.... At least until there is a cheaper one with a bigger screen.
It's quite possible that the street is in fact authorized to be built, but never has. If thats true then your local government authority may have that road shown as being built on it's own maps (The thinking is that if the road could be built then it is built.
