My preferences stand almost directly opposed to yours. I wish to own my books, so that I may read them at my leisure, without subscription. Of course I also prefer hardcover to paperback and physical books over ebooks.
I'm currently in robotics, Mechatronics Engineering in fact, but I still hope to go to space.
Just because the unwashed masses wet themselves over anything resembling risk these days doesn't mean that those who wish to explore should be held back.
I really really want to got explore the moon. It's one of the three great adventures forseeable within my lifetime (the other two being the bottom of the ocean and Mars). What's even more exciting is that by the time I'm done my education, Canada will likely make another call for astronauts.
You don't like games with story? That is one of the strangest things I've ever heard. I love story, and get bored with "deathmatch" that never changes or advances meaningfully.
Maybe you're more of a CS/Wii sports kind of guy, but I like Mario RPG/Legend of Zelda type games. I'll pay a premium for a good story and a fun to explore world.
Ladies and gentlemen, I propose to you that we swoop in and ninja China's loot from the final stage of the "Land on the Moon" quest chain. There are some pretty epic loots on the moon, but I don't think we need to go to the trouble of grinding all the way back to 375 spacetravel skill.
If we switch to PDFs we can finally get out of the scam that is university textbook pricing. If textbooks were priced rationally, students wouldn't be quite as poor.
If you grab the textbook PDF off the iniversity's network share then you don't need to resell it.
I was travelling for some work in Maine, and my boss told all of us to be quiet and don't make smartass comments while we're going through customs, we want to get through here quickly.
We're standing around waiting for the border guard to read all our papers and my boss looks at the picture of George W. Bush on the wall, and asks the guard "Who's that, employee of the month?"
We were there for four extra hours.
As a tenured professor of Religious Studies, I can give you my expert opinion on the state of Wikipedia.
Seriously though, there is still a lot missing from wikipedia. I've done lots of searches and come up with nothing. The things were pretty obscure, I I think they're worth an article.
You just came sooo close to a Godwin, but skirted it by a hair. Very good technique, it almost begs another poster to make the nazi/Hitler compariso-shi
- Ratings are confusing(why not use the same system as the movie industry?)
Because the movie ratings are in fact inferior to ESRB ratings.
Have you seriously looked at the PG-14 rating? It's R with one scene cut.
So, going on the assumption that you can walk at the speed of a bicycle, and carry 2 library of congresses worth of illegal music on five blue pills, how many football fields could you make it before you were sued?
My family was actually thinking about building some windmills to supply at least part of our own power, this should decrease or eliminate our power bill, if we could get a good enough system, we could let a neighbour or two use it (neighbours who are close friends of course)

I think you'll find that there were actually 100 000 resolutions. Must be a conversion error...
I had heard that ESRB ratings were actually more useful than MPAA ratings. Especially that catch-all PG rating.

If an astronaut does something to be banned from a participating nation's soil, I doubt they'll be approved to be sent to the ISS.
Dice Wars is another good time, I found it looking for a replacement for RISK. Simple yet addicting. http://www.gamedesign.jp/flash/dice/dice.html/

"Yes but the whole point of a deterrent is lost if you DON'T TELL ANYONE ABOUT IT!"
or
"My conclusion was that this idea was not a practical deterrent, for reasons which, at this moment, must be all too obvious."

"Mano-a-mano" is "hand to hand" in, I believe its Spanish. Some Latin based language at any rate.
To quote three panel soul: "But I don't have any reason to go postal! Well... I guess hypothetically now I do. I mean... wait, no."
Dude, Poland lost because they were still using cavalry at the time.

NAFTA's a joke, it's been trampled on by the Americans so much it's barely relevant anymore.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black
I think it looks more like a pot calling a spoon black.
