The summary said it was CGI. No one said it was In Engine. The people who were saying 'live action' must have thought it was the two kids at the beginning. Unlike Sony, Bungie never, ever said this was in game.
If you are at all interested in indepth features about stuff like Photoshop/Illustrator, etc, I would recommend Computer Arts magazine. It's pretty damned good.
I agree. Magazines directed towards the UK market seem to just be plain better than US magazines. I'm surprised at the subscription issues you have with the official OXM in the states. When I was subscribed to Computer Arts magazine (which was kind of general, but more UK centric I guess), it was cheaper (by a bit) and you get benefits! For example, all magazine covers had no headlines on them if you subscribed, so you get the full beauty of the cover image without anything blocking it. And every once in a while they'd throw in a free tips book or mini-magazine depending on the issue. It was great.
because with time, people expect things to improve, not stay the same and go back. Most of the Wii reviews I've seen have complained that the games look exactly like they would on a GameCube, or at times, even worse than that, when they should at least be better.
You may have a point, but it got totally lost since most "zombie whore game reviewers" still mention at how incredibily beautiful Ico is, and how great the graphics are in Resident Evil 4.
Probably because you've ben sticking with Motorola, who have consistently had one of the worse user interfaces on their phones? Try Sony Ericsson. Or a Samsung. Or heck, a Nokia.
Oh, I have. I just don't think a urinal or splashing paint on a canvas are art. I do respect that other people can consider it to be art. And I don't believe art has to have some sort of social or political agenda to be considered art.
And the fact that you do that will only lead to the US go further down the toilet. Just because other countries have it worse means that allowing the US to get even more screwed up is ok.
I'm sure there are better choices out there, but I was merely referring to the original poster's claim that we somehow have to wait for Apple to 'fix' voice synthesis in Leopard.
I was actually surprised that when I upgraded to IE7 on XP, Google WAS the default search engine on it, and there wasn't even an option for Live search in the dropdown box (I had to go to MS's site and add it).
On Vista, it was the opposite.
I have both a Windows box and an OS X box, and I'd love to see Kopete on them. At least for OS X, since you can't get a decent MSN alternative that supports webcams (amsn is not an option, neither is mercury, they both...blow).
Why start a sequel before the game is released? Isn't the point of a sequel to improve upon a previous game? Sure, you may know that this part isn't as much fun as it's supposed to be when you're working on it, but you have no idea what the general reaction of the public is going to be, and the example here is perfect! People LOVED the charm of the prince, the locals and the atmosphere of the original, and by making the decision to turn the prince dark before the game is release just pissed off all the fans!
I know when I rented the game I couldn't get past the first level. Not because it was hard, but mostly because I couldn't put up with the RAWR! GENERIC RAGE! ARGH! *heavy metal music*
Generally, I avoid any sequel that's released within 18 months of the original. Production of a sequel should start after the original is released. I can respect bad sequels (ie, Doom 3, Deus Ex), for the mere reason that they weren't released so soon after the original.
Also...Chrono Cross? MGS2? FFVIII? What the hell's this guy smoking?
Hey! Damn youths today! Everyone knows the internet went downhill after them animated gifs! You kids with your fancy torrents and goth music and videos coming from tubes...GET OFFA MAH LAWN!
Programmer contractors had viruses on their machines? And the company still trusted them to program their application? You'd think they'd know better...
The only thing that I really cared about during E3 were the big announcements from the Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft press conferences. Every year you had something to look forward to in May knowing that each company is going to announce something new and exciting, be it a new console, new portable, new game or whatever. I don't see the new E3 doing that. Oh well.
Actually, no he's not, and I also think you're completely wrong in that regard.

Because the only people who buy stolen cars are sheiks in the Middle East? Right...
Shush! Don't make him leave! He can impart awesome knowledge upon us virgin nerds!

Oh, and anyone who wants to run for president should be automatically disqualified.

The Mona Lisa provides political or social comments, critiques or social change? Who knew!
Jokes on you. He meant to type "this". Idiot. :D

That doesn't sound much different from stuff already available through MS.

Is it odd that I feel like trying out this game now?

I just have to say...I LOL'd at the US Government.
Not to go against your point, but Okami is basically a Zelda with fancy coating.
