Except that Canadian dollars are near (if not at) an all time high against American dollars
In the last 40ish years, that's correct. However, the Canadian dollar actually used to be stronger than the U.S. dollar, until 1962. Diefenbaker then devalued the Canadian dollar to $0.925 US in an attempt to stimulate the economy, but instead the move bit him rather hard in the posterior.
Tom: What's he doin?
Droz: He's finishing his senior thesis. Pigman is trying to prove the Caine-Hackman theory. No matter what time it is, 24 hours a day, you can find a Michael Caine or Gene Hackman movie playing on TV.
Tom: That's his thesis?
Droz: Yes! That's the beauty of college these days, Tommy! You can major in Game Boy if you know how to bullshit.
Even if they get rid of free hosting, you can find something pretty close -- http://www.nearlyfreespeech.net/. As long as what you're saying doesn't use too much bandwidth, you can run a site for ridiculously little.
That's 90% according to a company touting its new anti-spam measure. However, assuming the figure is approximately true, I think the solution is obvious: Start sending more legitimate email! Just increase the signal and the noise problem will look better by comparison. Send it to family, to friends, to enemies, unsolicited to random strange... wait.
I once told someone I worked (programmed) on crypto stuff... and had to explain for the next 10 minutes that in fact it WAS legal. Gees! And these are the "peers" that would judge me?

This is a very good example for other countries to follow. This actually encourages competition and speeds up the embrace of open standards. The government should always be involved in iniciatives like this.
Absolutely. I think I'll fire up Outlook and send the minister a Word attachment thanking him for taking this position.
It'll offer proof that you have the talent that employers are looking for, rather than them having to potentially waste time and money on what could be a load of hot air.
I concur with that -- when I was interviewing for my current job, between the sanity-test phone interview where I learned what the job was about and the sit-down interview two days later, I put together a demo of a subset of the project they needed, and walked him through the operation and source code. After months of fruitless search, I figured it was worth a shot. My boss later told me that the demo was the reason I got the job.
I'd make people pay at supermarket checkouts for the privilege of listening to musak while they shopped. And I'd make it so elevators with musak wouldn't open until money was deposited for the same privilege.
Actually, assuming they're playing songs belonging to RIAA members, it's the supermarkets who should already be paying for that priviledge to ASCAP. Don't worry, the RIAA has you covered.
to less than 30 watts under load and less than 10 watts for Windows at idle
They're using Windows to test this? If they're keeping their boxes patched, how do we know these power consumption decreases aren't just a result of Microsoft's tireless efforts to streamline and increase the efficiency of their products?
He was indeed, named after the Prime Minister

More importantly, was Jack a consultant on the episode?
Religion and God are meta-physical concepts, while science is the study of the physical world.

A head as disproportionately large as you suggest would suggest that these apes were very bright - so why do we rule the world?
We fight dirty, and those heads made for easy targets...
I mean... they could find somebody dull enough to believe the Onion was actually a real presidential announcement.

What if the latter is convincing the former to do her share of the workload as well, and that's why he doesn't get his own work done on time?
