Domestic spying is the ultimate tool for coercion and of corruption and it is made possible by the blessing of the telcos. The remedy of all this spying will be "net neutrality". To prevent "net neutrality" telcos have made a deal with the devil.

Not really. If they collected Facebook data, they would have to apply their bullshit algorithm to each individual. If you're correct that 16% of Facebook users are not Americans, then they would come up with something like 49% false-foreign results on the remaining 84%, which are Americans, or about 42%. That means their actual percentage of supposed foreigners in Facebook would be something like 58%, which casts a net over many millions of American citizens. And *that* is not only "technically" legal, under the current law it would be "fully legal", and legally defensible. But fucking retarded. They've gone too far.

This is one step away from becoming a watergate like scenario. And surely in the future many watergate like scenarios!

Ever tried to set up a wireless network? ppff.. Previously with WiFiFoFum one could see all the relative networks in terms of signal strength an then manually pick a wireless frequency that was as of yet unoccupied. This worked like gold! I'm not an expert but hidden networks aren't really hidden but are just asking to remain hidden as part of a wireless protocol. Apple decided this legitimate network analysis tool broke into people " hidden networks " and banned it overnight. Now we are in this ridiculous state of affairs where none can work properly because somebody once somewhere abused something at least as it was reported to be. If I was a network administrator I would have to have a broken iPhone. The alternative would be stumbling blindly throughout the internet. Caveat I don't own a hacked iPhone but sometimes I wish i did!

Maybe a mother board could be made where only ram is batery backed up. 9. Are we really getting to the bottom of this? on Apple Could Lose $1.6 Billion In iPad Lawsuit · · Score: 0

No, this is the cost of doing business poorly. A trademark search needs to be international in scope if you plan on making an international product. On top of damages Apple should be prohibited from further infringement (rename the product in countries with a previously registered trademark). There was a similar debacle (within the US registry if I remember) over the iPhone. I think it was settled, but the infringing product (Apple's iPhone) should have been pulled off the shelves, relabeled, and future infringement explicitly prohibited. It seems that Apple only cares about IP when they can use it to keep others out of their business - the evidence here is that they don't even bother looking to see if they infringe in a direction they want to go.

Would love to no if all the car companies i.e. ( hyundai and ford etc ) are paying Borg-Warner for the DSG concept. Then one never knows because of private arrangements if an idea is stolen or purchased. And then there is ABS where the only genuine form comes from bosh. Ever wonder why asian ABS sucks? Are magnetic shocks already stolen from Delfi? It would seem it is OK to steal an idea but not a name. Originally weren't patents supposed to protect inventors? Not Add companys?
