you misunderstood, public school is from age 7 to 18, but after i left school @ 18 i still remained a mess till 21. took me around 5 yrs to adapt to society after missing out on 5 yrs.

Wouldnt it be great if all interactions were pleasant? How would a 18 year old handle the real world once he is done with school and put in a compeditive back-stabbing type environment, if he never experienced it before? When I was put in a normal government school I was totally taken by surprise how hatefull everyone was, within the first week I was identified as a soft target and it took me a long time to realise they don't matter. Once I stood up for myself it was too late and school was already over. School is the best way to learn go cope with real people. How would those home schooled kids, used to being a club which shares a common interest, where people are forced together, interact in the real world where they dont have a common ground to start and build from? I have to disagree, most kids I've met from home schools were unbalanced.

When I got back to my own country @ the age of 15 I was not socially adapted to handle a school environment. Socially I was a mess till around the time I turned 21. Children should socialise with their peers otherwise they will have much larger problems when the peer group has moved into adulthood and they havent.
doesnt cleanflix apply their artistic vision and creativity? shouldnt hollywood promote artistic creative ventures instead of limiting it through patents copyright ect. hollywood should promote the continued financial support of artists, but not limited the creativity of others
Hollywood is shooting itself in the foot, if scrubbed versions of movies can create a bigger audience why do they care about the 'rights of the actors' and the original artistic value ect? It is my right not to listen to profanities when I watch a movie. It is my right to interpret the movie as I want to.
Satelite TV in South-Afrcia offers clean sound tracks for all movies. My parents wont watch any movie if they knew how much swearing was going on. Also, why is removing part of the movie a violation of copyright law? Does that mean I'm violating copyright law by closing my eyes and covering my ears with my hands when I watch a movie?
In South-Africa is legal to call a white Afrikaans speaking person a boer, even though its almost always used in a derogatory manner, whilst when a white person uses the term kaffer, or just about anything including black its regarded as being racist.
The argument that we had apartheid and white people deserve the bad treatment and that it takes time for wounds to heal should not even be mentioned, everyone can justify being xenophobic. I can mention several members of my family were killed in hate crimes by black people. Taking it back two generations I can even justify hating the Brits for killing 9/10 of my great grandmother's brothers and sisters.
I think everyone should realise that in games black is associated with evil and white with good. It has nothing to do with skin and the black community should *really* start being proud of themselves, right not this obsessive anti-racial behaviour makes me think they have no pride in themselves. I am proud to be white. If I was black I would have been proud of being black.
am glad he worries about disabled ppl but what about people who cant afford Microsoft products or the PCs to run more than windows 98? I live in South-Africa and once a month someone brings a windows 98 PC in for repairs. Linux runs much faster on old hardware and the sooner ppl can start using open office ect instead of being forced into a Microsoft universe the better. how many disabled people actually read government documents anyway? I'm not disabled but I never ever before read an offical document from the government.
I run my AMD3200 at 100% CPU usage in the winter to keep my room warm, I got a fan heater but the PC doesnt make so much noise and it tends to not overheat the whole room. Run folding to get to the 100% CPU usage, whats interesting though, if its nice -n 20 the CPU runs @ 1000 MHz, I have to set the program to -1 to get 2000 MHz from powernowd,the result is the desktop is a bit sluggish sometimes..
as a student i don't have time to watch shows on monday @ 1900 everyweek, ect, i can only watch shows those rare periods of time when i dont have some test or essay to hand in, my schedulde is too unpredictable. if they allowed me, somehow, to watch the shows when i want to and can watch them, i wont download them from campus. they need to work on their distribution, till then i've solved my problem.
I'm on a 5k/s dailup, huge gif and jpg headers wastes my time, *logo* *blank.gif serves no use to me, I don't mind text ads that's accurately targeted to what I'm browsing. Ad makers should make onobtrusive ads, forcing me to look @ them is not the ethical way to sell me a product.
umm. 32bit emulation should be done by the kernel and not by a chroot, compile yourself a kernel that supports 32bit emulation, the default kernel doesnt support it, yes it's annoying.
Look into medievia.com, way too many zones, something differant to do everyday, many aspects to the game, players can reclass and retain most of the previous classes' skills. There are clans, now clan-ships that will get very interesting. I saw WOW but it seems boring. med is text only, but its like the matrix, you don't see text after a few hours.
